A buddy and I were playing through a season and after advancing through the conference playoffs, we were about to start the first game of the finals. However, at that point we hit a very frustrating obstacle. For whatever reason, we can't start the next game. Nothing happens when we go to Play Game, yet everything else is still acessible.

Has anyone heard of or encountered a similar issue, and is there any way to get around it? He and and I are hoping there's some kind of solution (aside from starting a new season), otherwise he's just getting rid of the damn game.

I recall hearing about this glitch. If I remember correctly you have to sim the last game of the Eastern Conference championship that would put you into the finals. Say, you are playing a best of 7 series, and you are leading the conference series 3 - 0. You would simulate the fourth game (make sure the sim is a win, if not quit and reload until you win) and you should be able to play the finals.

Wow. That's the one of the lamest things I've ever heard. I'm sure he'll enjoy hearing the news.
