Well both games look great, but just wait till they actually come out , the nba2k series is still king and i think everyone knows this already. And its not all about graphics, the graphics looks good, but lets not forget about the gameplay.

This looks way better than those 2K6 screens with players with chunky arms and aliasing. On the other hand, the antialiasing here is so high that it's pretty suspicious. Not to mention that the resolution is too high also.

That's because they're pulling a Madden here, where they're showing a "target render." Everything looks too perfect. Look at his ear, for example. That looks absolutely perfect, as well as there being absolutely no polygonal edges whatsoever.

Exactly. Also, the eyes in 2K6 are eerily lifelike, this Wade has a semi-dead stare.

None of the downsides of normal mapping on the NBA2K6 characters. You can see the low poly/sharp edges on a lot of character closeups in NBA2K6. Not to mention the rendering quality is also higher in this NBA Live pic.

Really, you guys need to relax. This pic is a CG shot so no need to get all defensive because you feel EA is portraying your favorite system badly.

I just dont think it looks as good. It has that generic, lifeless quality that EA has mastered. 2k6 is much more realistic.

Why would Take 2 or EA want to bother releasing the 2006 versions of their sports games on a PS3 in the spring...only months until the 2007 versions are due? Now, I think it's far more realistic that Sony will launch in Japan in the spring, with a fall/winter NA/Europe launch...so the X360 would now be the recipient of the second-gen version of these new sports titles.

In other words...X360 will have the 'exclusive' on 2006 next-generation editions of pro hockey, football, and basketball titles.


Is it relevant to the system wars? No...unless you need that next-gen basketball/football/hockey game before next-spring or so.
