NBA Live 360 trailer

I luv it when Dwayne Wade is looking at himself and is bone dry and then an instant later he is DRENCHED in sweat!! :lol :lol

EDIT: Oh FUCK...I just saw the transistion from the practice court to the full statium....that effect of virtually flying "inside" the Big Screen was very nice.....presentation seems to be top notch....

Animations are better than current gen...thats for sure....but the transistions arent' *quite* there yet....

Once they nail those, I'll look just about perfect :)

Ok that animation was impressive.

If the final game and all models move that smooth and look that detailed I'm giving Live the edge over 2k6.

OK.....finished d/ling the vid and I must say this game looks pretty hawt right about now....

IAWTP, I may just pick this one up since I own the xbox version of 2K6 and the 360 version is essentially the same game. Both look hawt, that's for sure.

This will be first basketball game I buy since Double Dribble.

You may be disappointed that the LA team will not have a giant blue hexagon as their mascot.

definitely looks great. cant decide which bball game looks better at this point. replays, its 2k6 without a dout. in game though, so far it goes to live, which has shown a lot more stuff in game. the 2k6 in game stuff had all sorts of glitches and oddities.

to close to call for the final at this point. EA's presentation definitely looks slick though

Yeah, thats NBA Live 360's presentation right when you boot up.
Wow!!! I thought that was part of a cgi commercial sequence. What the hell is MS doing?! Throw this in a their demo units and starting counting the dollars.

Edit: It's really cool how the neon court lines dynamically light Wade as he moves around the court.

Im not seeing what you guys are...I see the same ole' NBA Live...

Same shitty shooting animations are there.

I'm not much of a basketball fan, but that looks pretty amazing.

Now, EA, where's the super-sweet Madden trailer already??

This looks amazing!!!!!
Yeah Klee, that's the same one from the IGN Insider video's that I've been telling all you guys about. One of the one's I watch everyday in disbelief because the graphics are so sick. Nobody ever believes me though. I'll say it again, as I say it all the time, imo, I have never witnessed better graphics in a game in my life. Glad to see there is finally a free version of that video out there now; it was getting tiring telling everyone how amazing it looked.

I have another HD video like that one, just as impressive (coughPM_MEcough) that's another one of the one's I've been telling all you guys about. it's sick!

that's cause we're all talking about the graphics, not the animations. most of us agree that the animations need serious work and everybody agrees the skating players need to be addressed.

graphically though, nothing can touch this. nothing.

GODDAMNN!!!!!....

Looks like the Live I dont like...Love the menu though, very slick.

What good are those graphics if the animations are stuck in this generation? I dunno either.

well.... that's the thing.. :lol we're all hoping and praying the animations get polished and smoothed out and they fix the skating players (hey, a gamer can dream right?)... cause then, pure gaming graphical sex for the eyes! but they still deserve some DAP for these graphics... no matter what.

wow, didn't know that. i'm curious though, do you know who they hired to do it? whoever it is are gods among pubes.

p.s. can you hook me up with a link confirming that? thanks.

DAP??

:lol I don't know what it stands for either, I just say it because of the 'Pardon the Interruption' show on ESPN where Wilbon always says it. I assume it means to give them props, or credit for a good job. Something like that.

While the game has the NBA Live name on it, donÂ’t expect the high-flying arcade style of basketball of the current-generation. The development team has purposely focused on providing a more realistic experience, and so the game may feel a bit slow at first. This did allow for cycling the ball a lot better, and for setting up a specific play. The A.I. was hit or miss, sometimes allowing an easy dunk, while locking the lanes down (tightly) in other situations. WeÂ’ll need some significant playtime in order to determine where the A.I. is truly at. The build we played, while not finalized, had some slowdown issues, but we have been assured that the retail game will hit its target of 60 fps.

:lol @ you guys. Yes it does mean to give someone their credit.

Where the hell are the NBA 2k6 videos.. Im so confused.. I see all this new live stuff and I have really seen NOTHING of 2k6... it dissapoints me.

I am actually kind of glad that NBA2k6 was so impressive... it really made EA step up. I guarantee that if it wasn't for 2K6, EA would of not stepped up the way the did.

Now I forsee VC releasing some impressive 2K6 videos soon.

dude get real. You think EA saw those videos and in a matter of months said, oh, we have to do better? The way the game looks now is a function of how it was developed long before anything was known about dk6. The way these two games look has nothing to do with the competition. Both teams simply did the best they could.

But they had to know VC was gonna come correct so they obviously made an effort in not being left behind. This is how competition works and to deny it means you're just full of shit. The game is looking nice, but there's only one teaser trailer of 2k6 so I'm not going to jump the gun just yet. I have to say that I do not like the skating that goes on in live, but 2k has its quirks also so it kind of evens out some.

The presentation is top-notch, but the animation is exactly the same as with Live 06 PS2/Xbox. The smooth frame rate and upgraded player models help a great deal, though. Time for VC to step up with some solid footage of their own.

EA doesnt...they outsourced for those graphics...I give the team who did them credit.
Ok, I've looked around now since then, and it appears that EA Canada did this themselves. They purposely chose to build the graphics engine for the Xbox 360 from the ground up, taking full advantage of everything it has to offer.

Can you please substantiate your claim with a link to some proof?

I was looking for the thread last night...and it was either you or bdoughty in the thread I was talking to about it...

I couldnt find it. But I remember there was a guy here who works in the *industry* and said EA came through their offices because of outsourcing work with the graphics...

I'll go back to look for it again..

EDIT: Bingo....http://www.ga-forum.com/showthread.php?t=60387&highlight=outsourcing

Look at shampola's post(s).

Damn man, i have 2k6 on pre but these vids look very good. At this rate i could end up with 4 ea games come launch, something i thought would never happen.
