Yes. ABC lost the right for the Monday Night Football.
Now it will be produced at ESPN. After Superbowl XL, abc won't be doing any more of MNF.
for 35+ years, MNF used to be ABC's flagship sports premier, and losing it will be a big shock (even to me, although I mostly work with news division, but I do work with MNF all the time) - but I hear that NFL is charging enormous amount each year, and it's been said that MNF, while staying top place for monday nights, have been in red for past few years.
I just feel sorry for the people (especially PA's) who would lose their jobs because of that...

Losing MNF would liquidate abc sports nearly in half or so. ESPN has their own crew who dealt with SNF before, so I guess it would be really hard for former ABC sports people could join them. Also, a lot of the productions will be done at ESPN for ABC sports, so... it could mean liquidation of a entire division.
After Lost, Desperate Housewives and Extreme Makeover HE, I thought my company was on re-bound - and this happens.
So border, yes, it's a terrible news for me.
