The game is not well optimised at the platforms is currently available for.
But the performance on the deck is not the best with a lot of areas having fps in the low 20's with low resolution.
The forest just suck ass on the Deck.

Its funny that anyone thinks Nintendo poses some kind of threat when no games have been announced. I'll tell you this for sure, Switch 2 aint getting GTA VI or MH Wilds. We'll get some nice 3rd party games released 1-5 years ago, maybe even some at 1080p and 30 fps.

Pretty much disagree with everything you said OP. First, we don't even know when the damn thing is gonna release. Nintendo isn't having an official reveal until April. This console probably won't be out until summer at the earliest and a decent chance it's fall or Holiday. Tough to be the year of any console when it's gonna be out for such a short amount of time.
Also for the games, I don't think it's a lock at all that it's gonna get all third party games. Then when you have first party, I'm doubtful a new Zelda is anywhere close. They just had a top down one release a couple of months ago and it took them 6 years for ToTK and that copy and pasted the map and that game isn't even 2 years old yet. Probably can expect to see a new Mario kart (already shown), a 3D mario and maybe a new smash? But even then, I don't think that means they're launch games or even launch window.

I just realized Ubisoft will probably have a lot of shit for Switch 2 at launch, quite possibly 4 AC games. Mirage, Origins, the one with the Greek bitches and the one with the transgender viking.

GTA6 won’t release on Switch 2, that’s all Sony needs this year tbh. It’s a bigger game/event than anything Nintendo can put out.

The question is what will complete with GTA 6. Even Sony's and Microsoft's first party stuff would get crushed other than Call of duty around the launch of that. Ironically Nintendo isn't directly competing so Nintendo's first party probably won't get impacted by GTA 6 as much.

They’ll have the biggest release of the year on their system. There’s nothing they can produce themselves that’ll be bigger than GTA6.

The notion that PS and XB have to respond to the NS2 release is kinda dumb tho. Data has shown that NS1 success was rooted in the fact that everyone bought it as a companion piece to a console or PC they already own.
Valve released the Steam Deck because Swich actually took a big bite of indie games sales on Steam. Now NS2 poses a greater risk since it will be able to play even more games.
I want to know what Valve has to respond to NS2.

Not much, GTA VI (like many other have said) and all Ms and ps games that have been played to death by all the millions already will just be ported to switch 2.meaning more profits for sony and ms.

A Konami game? There’s a very large chance it will come to Switch 2 when the exclusivity period ends in October 2025
Consumers don’t have unlimited dollars in this side of the multiverse.
If it’s getting a Switch 2 release, they’ll optimize it specifically for the fixed hardware. Sure, it won’t be a 60fps marvel, but they’ll get it running creditably.
on the Deck, players are just running the game using the PC minimum presets.

Here is a summery of impossible ports on the switch. The switch 2 will have the exact same cutbacks and will be the worst place to play any third party game

Nintendo won by playing the long game and not rushing to photo-realistic 100hr games. Sony/Xbox are bankrupting themselves trying to go after something that it turns out isn't that important to most players.

switch 2 would actually be able to play the "impossible ports" credibly, but most of those ports were very outsourced and bespoke so most won't be updated. that's a core weakness vs pc handhelds.

In Eastern Europe, dudebros play CS/Call of Duty/shiny new AAA games and cringe at JRPGs like Metaphor saying don't buy that shit because they don't play those kind of games as the only anime games they can tolerate are DBZ related. Almost all of them are in their mid 30s/40+ with wife and kids, swear like sailors and make shitty sex jokes about tampons. Pokemon, lol what, only weak men, women and children play it there. So, in Eastern Europe that pic is actually reverse.
