Oh wow. Best episode yet. I don't know how they'll top it. It was over the top, but that's what I loved about it. It was amazing. Wow.

I mean wow.

This show has become my favorite show on NBC Thursday. I actually enjoy it more than The Office (Which I still love) and Parks and Recreation. (Which gets better and better) And this is only the first season. I cannot wait to see what the second season brings.

And for the love of god, when will I be able to buy the theme song? (And none of that "Album only" bullshit you asshole record labels!) I know what it's called, but you can't find it anywhere! It's called "At Least it was Here" by The 88, but it isn't on any of their albums yet. This week they played the extended version.

I think Dan Harmon is hinting at a blu-ray release :lol

Edit: w00t 600!
I think if you were to actually read into it like that, that subplot is a gag about Harmon and crew wanting a Blu-ray release but NBC ripped that away and is only doing DVD.

Of course it probably means zilch.

This x 1000. I'm a huge 88 fan, can't wait to get it.

Okay, so anyway. Now that Britta and Jeff have "done it", has anything changed?

This is where this show has shined. Any other TV show would have made this "will they or won't they" issue and make it long and drawn out over a long period of time and then try to lure viewers in with "will they or won't they" on a season finale for ratings. With Community, they basically just address it and "get it over with". Same thing with Annie liking Troy....any other show would have had a long and drawn out storyline (see Ross & Rachel) about it, but instead it gets addressed headon.

Kudos to Harmon for not playing into the generic storyline syndrome and boring us all to death with what Hollywood has done countless times for as long as we can remember. It's a breath of fresh air.

The look at the end of the episode where Britta kinda looks and smiles at Jeff and Jeff looking uneasy, it could mean anything. Either they will do something together in the future, the door is open so to speak, but it is not definitive yes either.

So basically it was like any other episode that dealt with Britta/Jeff coupling, if you look at it one way or the other, it could mean something or mean nothing at all in the long run.

*God she looked great there

The people from News Radio did the same thing with Dave and Lisa. They talk about in the season 1 commentary.

Funny you should mention Newsradio and Dave and Lisa... I thought Jeff and Britta's relationship was more akin to Dave and Lisa than Ross and Rachel.

I almost choked to death laughing. This is ingenious, this is spectacular, it really can't get any better than this. I don't remember a single moment when I wasn't laughing at something. I will suck dick to get this show running for as long as it's amazing.

This episode could've used a good ol' NBC "super-sizing."

But I guess that programming gimmick is streets behind...

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Not close to being the best episode, but my god, it might be my favorite episode for how goddamn retardedly awesome and over the top it was. Loved that Jeff and Britta finally hooked up, and I was in stitches throughout.

- Pierce “he (the dean) makes me feel uncomfortable” Dean “still in the room”
- Jeff “there is no Jeff and Britta” Pierce “he said, fully erect”
- Jeff “hey Piece, don’t come over here” Pierce “screw you, Im coming over!” *gets shot*
- OMG Senor Chang and the slow mo automatic gun
- OMG AGAIN Senor Chang and the paint grenade and the maniacal laugh

Missed out on all the fun last night. Definitely one of the best episodes yet.

Edit: ...and WOW @ the Allison Brie interview

I'm rewatching the episode now to see if there are some things I missed.

When Jeff denies that Britta and Jeff are a couple, Pierce says, "And he said...fully erect", Jeff stands up and I noticed Britta actually look down and gaze at Jeff's crotch as he stands up and turns away

Also noticing how much they used that disco guy, there was no mention of this guy in moments from this episode... I guess his shtick fell flat on people too, a very forced unfunny joke

Edit: I just realised this episode is a weird send up to Mother's Day, that's why in the end they are giving the prize to Shirley, who's a mom and she kept talking about her kids at the beginning

Edit 2: Lol who is that third guy waving goodbye with Shirley and Abed :lol

Edit 2.5 Upon further viewings, the prelude to the eventual make-out and sex scene is actually a stroke of genius

Edit 2.75 I love the fact Senor Chang saunters in with huge ass gun, the doors part and automatically close and lock by themselves

Edit 3: Oh god I love this show down with Britta and Chang all over again :D :D :D Chang's golden guns have "El Tigre" branded on em too

Edit 3.5 I just realised that Britta risked herself to allow Jeff to win, and not to get the glory for herself

Edit 4: wtf happened to Britta during the paint bomb blast??? She was in one shot, we don't see her get away, did she get blasted by the bomb?

Edit 4.5 Dean Pelton comments on Jeff's look when he breaks into the office as being a good look for him... still gay for Jeff till the end

Edit 5: Abed and Pierce have the Force, they can sense the change in status between Jeff and Britta through the table's vibrations

Jeff waking up to an empty campus... that wasn't just a nod to 28 Days Later... it's killing me... what other movie(s) was that from? I know that's been done a bunch of times before.

I pretty much died when Chang breaks in as Tequilla from Hard Boiled. That just sealed it for me, best episode of the season. I watched it twice, once alone and the second with my gf

That article makes me almost dislike her.

I developed this (possibly misplaced) sexual pride, based solely on the quantity of penetrations of my vagina... and not necessarily the quality of the acts therein.
Ewww... unless you like slutty women. I get what she is saying but that doesn't change that what she said makes her loose.

This show just gets better and better. This was easily the best 'parody' ep. I hope they don't over-use it, though - if they keep doing parody eps it will get old quick.

I kinda get what yer saying, but I like to be diplomatic about it. I am more likely to like Annie as a person, than Alison Brie as a person... Alison tries kinda too hard to flaunt and tease her sexuality. This is probably another reason why I switched from liking Annie in the beginning to Britta.

Back on the episode where Annie talks about how she lost her virginity, didnt she say something like they did it in the closet, in the dark and he cried afterwards?

It almost sounds like they used her story in that article.

Good call. Annie mentions doing it in on the floor of a walk-in closet to Madonna's Erotica and that her ex cried after and during sex and that he is gay now so it's exactly the same story as Alison's :lol

I liked the premise more than the execution but it was still a pretty good episode. Hope they don't go the Jim / Pam route with Jeff and Britta as that ended up being a big reason why the Office was killed imo.

Any idea if this show just has one more season in it for the second year of community college?

There is no information about what is in store for season 2 yet, but there is definetly a confirmed second season.

I think the finale with the eventual Prom episode, we will see the Jeff/Britta thing come up, exactly what happens I have no idea... but it would be unwise to hook them up this early in the show, unless they can do a good job of it like they did Newsradio with Dave and Lisa.

Maybe all the attention is getting to her head. I agree, Annie > Alison.

There's two more episodes left in this season right? After that we gotta wait till september? :/

Yeah she's a bit of an attention whore
