why WOULDN'T jeff kiss annie
Because he could be fucking Britta. I was hoping Jeff Winger would do the right thinger, he didn't. :(

Oh well, there's always next season.

Team Britta 4 lyfe.... lol j/k

Perfect first season.

I don't think I've watched better.

Don't think that Annie Jeff thing is going to go too far though; the surprise twist is basically a mechanism that'll allow the writers of the show to reset the britta-jeff paradigm; jeff will be painted as a horn-dog, annie will probably break it off in the first ep of next season, and slater will be disgusted and leave, ending her guest star role.

Over the next season, trust between jeff and britta will be rebuilt, while maintaining the tit for tat back and forth.

Wow, that was great! Came for the comedy, stayed for the soapie!

Yep.

For sure watch Mystery Team. I wish I went to one of the showings at the Drafthouse where all the Derrick Comedy guys were there. Probably the 2nd funniest comedy of last year only behind Observe and Report. I probably laughed more during Mystery Team but no way laughed as hard as I did during Observe and Report if that makes sense.

People didn't like this episode?

That kind of makes me sad. I really enjoyed it. Hearing other peoples' complaints makes me feel like I have bad taste or something.

And I've been an avid Community fan from the beginning. I immediately admitted that the pilot was weak, but knew by the second episode that it'd be a promising series.

For me, it was a satisfying finale to a satisfying season of television. It wasn't anything spectacular like the paintball episode, but it was far from the worst that the series has yet to offer.

I really dont think anybody here disliked the episode. Most of us have said it was very funny. We just thought the ending was shit.

I liked this episode but hated the ending. That was totally nonsensical.

I'm rewatching Romantic Expressionism right now. "I did eat all the macaroni, it's messed up that he knows" still destroys me :lol

I never understood why that was funny. Is it just the absurdity of it or something? Or did I miss something about it in an earlier episode?

I actually thought the finale was one of their worst episodes. Community is like Abed: great with tv/movie references, terrible with human emotion.

This. I stopped watching after the first few episodes because they all ended with the same corny emotional crap that came off as a public service announcement. Once the characters fleshed out and they allowed them to be more creative with the writing it became brilliant and one of my favorite shows. Don't really like the campy Community, I want awesome over the top hilarity damn it. The Paintball episode was so epic.

Did they forget to include the jokes or something? I laughed at the dalmation thing... And not a damn thing else. This episode sucked.

You didn't laugh at "Oh, and for the record? There was an episode of Happy Days where a guy LITERALLY jumped over a shark, and it was the BEST one."?

Good stuff. I liked the finale. Best episode by far was the paintball one though.... next to the pool playing one. Really dig the entire series and I am so ready for S2.

He didn't choose anybody. All he did was make out with Annie. I'm sure at the beginning of next season any connection the two had will be over.

Favorite line in the whole season. Probably of any comedy series ever.

Uh.. that was easily the worst episode for the season.

Agreed. This was the episode where everyone started acting out of character. I mean, could the women be any more shrill and annoying? It was an embarrassment.

And yes, Troy is always the best thing in every episode.

This.

Troy Abed, Chang, Chase. Pretty much the core of the show.
Literally everything they do in every episode is hilarious.

The references weren't funny or well done, they were more or less insert different characters into scene from action movie, be as ridiculous as possible, and avoid being clever.

God, it was so painful to watch Britta to weep for Shirley getting shot like she died. I get it, she's out for the early enrollment, we don't need the hokey acting because you're making fun of action movies.

The Die Hard ending was easily seen coming and it's delivery wasn't funny.

Chase is the weakest fucking link, come on. There's nothing funny about his pubescent humor and one-liners. He's terrible.

Troy occasionally suffers from this, but the second half of the season, he's been nearly the best.

To be honest, I think the funniest role is Britta. She's sharp and witty, and I like that.

You're letting your preconceptions about Annie cloud your judgment. There's no fucking way that was the worst episode.
I think it very well could have been. I wasn't all that impressed.

Costanza said:
You just like her because she's a groovy hipster like yourself. :P
:lol :lol

Chase is a great physical comedian, his trips, faces, and movements are his thing.

Britta is a closed and guarded person and she put her heart on the line and told Jeff she loved him. I expect her to be pretty cold and guarded next semester, doubt she ever say I love you again.

Sorry dweebs. Team Britta all the way.
I say we have two Community threads, one for Team Annie, the second for lame Team Britta.

I don't want to associate with people who like Britta.
