NBC's Community Official Thread - the next Arrested Development/Office/30 Rock?

If Jeff hooks up with Annie he is essentially violating whatever rule he was preaching earlier...about not sexualising Annie and not having a douchebag date Annie cuz that opens up chance for other douchebags to date Annie. Granted... it coulda been bullshit because he was jealous. It just seems really weird to me. I hope that he looks out for Annie more as like a guardian than an actual potential mate.

After the first two or so episodes, I really started to love this show. Just saw all the available season 1 episodes; fantastic. This and The Office make me really like Thursday nights :D Abed and Troy's bromance is amazing, btw "They're just jealous..." :lol

I saw Alison Brie referred to as the chick from Community the other day. Pfft, the chick from Mad Men who is super hot ands hows more skin on Community is more like it.

I'm glad for Joel that the show has gotten consistently better. It's very enjoyable.

If they cancel this show I will go insane.

NBC has enough problems with new programming. They're not in a position to cancel stuff, then again stuff that works. Thursday is a smash, they're not touching it.

I guess I'm more worried about the lack of renewal. I've been burned like this before.

Considering P&R got picked up for another season and it's ratings are worse than Community's, I'd say it's a safe bet we're going to see a season 2. NBC said they had to do the P&R renewal now due to the show's filming schedule.

Craig Ferguson is a decent guy, I love his interviews especially with Kristen Bell... sometimes I think those two would have a wicked affair, I can see the chemistry.

Dude does great interviews.

That ninja turtle mall sounds nuts.

I hear ya: last 3 new shows I started watching (The Nine, Terminator SCC, Dollhouse) all got prematurely cancelled. I'm down to Community and 24.

Dollhouse and Terminator have almost consistently had poor ratings over time.

I've never heard Community suffering from as poor ratings.

Don't really know about The Nine, but weren't Terminator and Dollhouse given plenty of time to get ratings up and all that? I wouldn't call them prematurely cancelled.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I didn't want to see either of those cancelled (T:SCC was very fun, and I marathoned season 1 of Dollhouse over the summer and haven't gotten to season 2 yet, but 1 was awesome) but if they don't get ratings, they don't get ratings.

I believe The Nine got its initial nine episodes (har har) then got cancelled. I say "prematurely cancelled" because they could've continued the series had they been renewed (as opposed to say, LOST which has a definite ending), but yeah, the ratings sucked so it wasn't a big surprise.

Also considering the fact that the first season of Parks was rather bad, not in the sense that it didn't entertain but that it's quality had nothing on Parks as it is now or Community or 30 Rock (and The Office on some nights).

New episode in 15 minutes!

Communication Studies

Jeff sets out to fix his relationship with Britta after things get awkward with a drunken phone call. Meanwhile, Annie and Shirley make plans to humiliate Señor Chang in order to defend Troy and Pierce's dignity.

:D

I despise WDIV in Detroit. They preempted Community for at least the 3rd time this season. This time for a Haiti special. Argh!
