...that's a hella good idea without the rotating set. Just a set of avatars of our favorites as Dharma logos. ^_^
This could work. I can see it now, actually :lol

How about a bunch of Dharma logos with a different character's face in the center? Make it a rotating set.
Like this idea a lot, thanks. I'll see if I can make them (I'm very mediocre with the GIMP) and whichever Community ones I don't use I'll post here for others.

I don't even think you have to use GIMP, just make separate ones and upload the way Red Scarlet does. It's just 1 jpeg that keeps changing every time you refresh the page. If I knew the site or how to do it I'd tell you but I'm sure someone here knows how to do it.

If you want a lot of Dharma logos, just send me a PM and tell me what you want in the center. I can make a ton for you this weekend if needs be.

"De Niro drank with Scorsese"

Love this show.

Wasn't it the other way around? Scorsese drank with De Niro? Since abed would be Scorsese in this situation.

edit: yeah, it was Scorsese drank with De Niro. Just watched that scene again. Beige preying mantis. :lol

I think Annie and Shirley are the least humorous, but I think both fit in well with the group. I think their interactions with each other were probably the best part of the Christmas episode. I'd also agree they're probably the weakest characters, but I don't think either are weak characters. The rest of the cast is just that good and it's hard to fit everyone in.

I tend to think Annie's humor comes off more that she is this innocent naive person that clashes with the malevolence sarcasm of the other characters. Shirley is christian, but she is also sarcastic and gossipy.

Initially Troy was my least favorite character, due to me thinking they would play him off as a typical jock (hate jock characters) or as the token black guy (hate token black guys).

But he's become one of, if not my favorite male characters. The actor is a fucking comic genius.

F'realz.

I wonder if what Britta said was true about Jeff's message... he called her, and left a 40 minute or longer message than Britta actually played for the stats teacher to save his ass. And if so, what could've been on it?
WHat exactly doesn't she already know about Jeff, it wouldn't be about his feelings because she knows he likes her.

I was wondering if the writers will ever get back to this as well.

They are not done with the Jeff/Britta arc, Jeff clearly looks backwards at Britta when he leaves with his "girlfriend", who I am not convinced he likes that much other than just doing her.

Anyone else noticed that Jeff and Britta said the same thing about the Cupid Being? ("Now it has arrows, that's safe")
NOOOOO?? REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY???????????????

good job, Detective!

I love how ambiguous this episode is about Britta's feeling are to Jeff than the really obvious one from the tapdancing episode.

Is it just me or is Troy doing more and more effeminate things on a regular basis, for such a manly man tough guy he thinks he is?

Isn't troy gay supposed to be a "in the closet" case?

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier.

They were made for each other.

Snesfreak: is it okay if I use your Pierce number 3? Thank you ^_^"

And Community... never thought it will outgrow both 30 rock and How I met Your Mother in my heart so fast....

I was spoiled about the dance scene by noisome07's avatar, so even though I really enjoyed parts of this episode, it didn't seem to completely click with me after my first watch.

I usually don't rewatch shows but I had to give this episode another shot, and luckily, it actually got better since I noticed a couple more things like Britta's snorting in the drunk dials, Abed's actors, the Kicksplasher poster, and noticing Troy's expression in the dance. I wouldn't really do that sort of thing for a lot of shows but Community has been amazing.

A couple issues though, what's with the line dub of "They're going to love you in California" at 8:37, it was really noticeable and weird. Also, I really hope they don't that 40 minute call hanging.

It's awesome how this show is just made to be giffed but I need to stay away from GAF until I've seen an episode before I get spoiled by the avatar onslaught.

True... I hadn't watched the episode the night it aired, I was at work browsing GAF, saw a new gif of Troy dancing and I was spoiled but I still enjoyed the overall episode so much. Great way to hold off till next one after Olympics.

probably the fact they haven't renewed for season 2 yet.
Umm, most shows won't be getting renewal notices until April or May. There's zero reason to be concerned.

[Parks and Recreation got an unusually early order because of some scheduling/contractual issues.]

This is amazing. Didn't even catch it the first time.

I'm surprised how many jokes I'm missing and have to rewatch a second time to find them.
and unlike AD, I actually care

I'm not quite catching this joke/reference other than the weirdness of the shot?

I also love how the teacher forgets Britta's name on purpose and calls her bitter, butter, beetlejuice...?

And a reference to Abed filming scenes from his life at College (inside joke within an inside joke)

Maybe I am reading into this scene too much, but the scene where Britta says she was asked out by Jeff to dance and he didn't believe or want to believe it, her face was of actual dissapointment...it's possible she faked smiling to save face... and the message on her cellphone sounded... I dunno choppy, like it may have been edited to sound a certain way...if you get what I mean... and if you watch Britta's face as that message is played she still has this look of dissapointment. She was being a good friend to Jeff even though she still on some level wants to be with him.

This show is soo good. This is probably my favorite comedy show ever on TV along with Arrested Development.

I want an avvy too from this. :D

This episode didn't do it for me the first time: then again I had no subtitles and was pretty tired so it flew over my head. Will rewatch later.

Pretty sure Britta edited Jeff's voicemail: doesn't it go "I'm realllllly in... Michelle." (as opposed to "into")?

Exactly, this is why I think the actual message was chopped up to make Jeff not sound incriminating to save his ass.
