Think you got skills on the roads? Show off your real rep by getting your art in Need for Speed Underground 2.

EA GAMES is looking to add ten (10) user created vinyls to the final cut of Underground 2 so if you’re an artist or someone who just wants to add their personal flair to the game, then rev up your favorite art program and get started. If getting in the game still isn't enough, then we'll give you a copy of the game free when it's released as an added incentive. (Click here to read the official rules.)

To enter, download this ZIP file, uncompress it (XP has built-in unzipping tools or you can use WinZip), and use the custom JPG templates to design your car vinyl. Each vinyl design has to be created on a 1024 x 1024 pixel canvas that can be reduced to 512 x 512 with little-to-no loss of detail. The design must follow one of the three 1024 x 1024 templates that are included in the Vinyl Template Package: The Hood, the Rear Quarter Panel, or the Entire Side. The design MUST stay within the RED areas indicated on each template.

Final images must be saved in a lossless format, such as TIFF or PSD, at a resolution of 72dpi at 1024 x 1024 pixels. The images that are created will eventually be “planar mapped” to the cars in the game.

*NOTE: If you have previously submitted your entry and used 16 color palette as stated in the template document, you may re-submit your entry using a 64 color palette with no risk of disqualification.

Once you’ve tweaked your vinyl, compress it using WinZip and email the ZIP file to nfscontest@ea.com between June 30, 2004 and July 11, 2004. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm PT on July 11, 2004.

The Need for Speed Underground 2 Custom Car Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 18 years of age or older.
