ok, so I got this a few months ago with my new Asus mobo and cant help but notice that a shit-ton of features are either missing or greyed out after looking at some online reviews (yeah, I read reviews of products I allready own)..

most jarringly is what is supposed to be an awesome auto color setting for LCD screens, "smart-stretch" which I really need and most importantly progressive support.. interlacing looks like ass when I watch movies.. I dont know if intervideo sells Asus the asstacular version missing almost all settings to package with the mobo's or if I have an older version.. but invervideo doesnt seem to have any sort of product support in the form of patches or updates..

I can buy windvd6 platinum for 40 bucks via upgrade (and may), but if anyone knows how to fix what I have now, I'll just do that.

Ive never used powerdvd.. but have had two versions of windvd and like them both.. so I'll probably stick with it. Plus, I can get a 20 dollar discount on win dvd 6 platinum since I have 5 platinum now.

did it come with the mobo? Maybe it's some kind of OEM version with some features not enabled.
