SOCAL GAF!

If anyone is interested in a HRAP V3 SA, Hyper Game Action off Olympic/Sawtelle has them in for $149.99 + tax. Good deal.

Good deal. Even with LA's high tax it will only be about $165.

Wonder if they have the cheapy VX and V3. Still need one of those. Can't seem to find it on the website. Ima gonna give em a call tomorrow.

Well, I'll be damned.

I went to play some BB to my friends place today. After we had played couple matches we decided to swap sticks. As my pals TE had square gate and mine octagonal.

Seems that the square gate is the gate for me after all. Supers and combos were a lot easier to pull of with the square than with the octagonal. I absolutely loved that I didn't had to grind the corners anymore. Only a slight movement with the stick was enough.
The first thing, I'll do tomorrow morning is to search for my square gate. It should be here somewhere.

Also, anyone found any good deals on TE in Europe? I could use a second stick nowadays.

]I decided to switch from a Black/Grey/White theme in my TE to Black/Grey/Clear. They are the standard Seimitsu clears with the plunger painted black with a sharpie. I should probably order two more clears.

Here is the old style. I think the clear looks better in person than in photos

Love the look, really not sure about the feel of the Seimitsu's though. They just aren't as smooth as the Sanwas. That slight amount of extra pressure feels weird to me.

Something I did in my absence:

My "heavenly" bluetooth PS3 stick.
Wireless! (gutted Sixaxis + Toodles' AXISdapter)
Sanwa JLF and Seimitsu PS-14-KNs

I finished it a couple weeks ago.

HOly shit that's nice. Make me a stick! I'll pay for everything + labor.

Yes Boss! I believe there is one coming out in March. At least I've been told. (I think I remember them saying March?)

Cool, game is less than two months out...getting worried about not hearing anything yet.

Ooh! Very nice. I'm actually planning on doing something like this for my two TE sticks.

Couple of questions:

1.) Where did you go/what did you do to get your borderless plexiglass?
2.) What resolution dimensions did you use for your custom artwork?

Are there any good sticks with a more curved/angled button layout like the Pelican Real Arcade? I was messing around with one, and the angled button layout was actually much more comfortable for hitting the both the top and bottom second from the left buttons at the same time (i.e. focus attack). It felt like my fingers naturally fell where the buttons were with that layout more so than the TE of hori EX-SE sticks. I have a hard time hitting the focus attacks quickly and moving to other buttons on these, especially hitting Mk with my middle finger.

I'm just converting from a pad to a stick full time, and am just starting to learn how to FADC. Any finger placement tips?

Everything you need for TE plexi:

It comes in 3 sizes, regular (use with the red bezel), extended (no more bezel) and full (entire panel).

There's also templates for creating your own art, and they'll even print it for you.

I was debating of getting the TvsC stick but the reviews were putting me off of it. But if MarkMan is saying its garbage, then its garbage!

It is all relative. There has not been much available for the Wii (yet!) so the TvC stick has been nice. And if you are into Capcom stuff then the graphic on the stick and the box will get you mildly excited. It is the official Japanese stick, after all. That said, the same same generic stick for the PS3 is junk since there are so many other higher quality options.

of course its all relative but I always like to do research before purchasing anything gaming related. I always come here for some input regarding arcade sticks; I never thought I would be using one especially for Street Fighter but madcatz TE definitely change my mind on it. I'm on the hunt for a hori, all I have are madcatz.

I want to see what hori and madcatz have in store for TvsC and SSF4

Remember! It's not just a keychain ;) !

Haha,

MarkMan,

I saw that you slipped that into your photo from a few days ago and that nobody brought it up (the one with the lol blackout). I thought it was just something for the Mad Catz employees so did not mention.

Have fun at CES and bring us some good news that we can spend money on! I'm hoping for a TvC announcement and preorder (bundle or otherwise) at amazon prior to 1/18 since I'll be gone till august at that date. Otherwise, I'll have to pick it up in fall.

Hey, guys. I'm looking for a website that sells pre-build and pre-drilled wooden enclosures. A while back someone provided a link to such a website but I can't seem to find it.

your best bet is probably a mad catz TE or SE for the 360, then add a cthulhu pcb for ps3 support. This is still a lot of work and requires basic wiring and soldering skills

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I still can't find the website, but your links are much appreciated. Maybe the link was on SRK? I'll have a look after their scheduled maintenance.

Bummer. Is this something that is not technically possible to be fixed, or is it more likely Sony doesn't care?

I'm going to venture a guess that it happens once they implement software BC and start selling ps2 titles over PSN.

Not sure, my HRAP 3 works fine with PS2 BC games, so it looks like something to do with the TE specifically
