What's your price limit?
I can't recommend anything cheaper than an HRAP or TE in good conscience.
Preferably less than 10,000yen (100 bucks).

I don't need some hardcore arcade sticks, just some reasonably priced ones that works decently. My previous sticks are the Hori PS2 Soulcalibur II stick and the official Dreamcast ones (Agetec?), so something similar to those would be great.

Sorry I don't get to go through my PMs often. And if I don't check/answer them, it doesn't mean that I'm ignoring them.

Also!

lol _dementia! I saw that. ;)

Sure, but you haven't really answer to my or the other guy's question. I think it is aserious issue if some people's stick start to crap out. Also my friend's stick button is crapped out as well, so I am going to have a serious doubt about the madcatz quality. I know people were praising it but lately I have not seen any positive signs of it now.

Just got around to answering it. Sorry.

Just finished some minor mods to my VLX. All Seimitsu buttons (including the 24), LS-32 stick with aluminum bat, and a round gate. :D

Used orange buttons on the top, yellow on the bottom - it's more subtle than I would have liked. Picture doesn't really pick up the difference.

Does the bat top throw off the balance at all since it's aluminum? Either way I like that color combo with the buttons.

Lately, I've been thinking about completely modding my stick. After looking over some guides and whatnot, the dual-modding and putting on custom art doesn't look hard at all. So I've been looking for some nice art that would match my current buttons (orange and vermilion) and came across some art from Revolutionary Girl Utena. It's one of the most artistic animes I've ever seen, so I thought it would look great on a stick. This is what I'm plan on using for my art.

Adding the LS-32 help tons. Originally I had the bat on the stock stick, and it was too top heavy.

I may put in a second spring over time if I notice the stick getting weaker - but it's really solid as is right now, so we'll see if it holds up.

P.S. you know that Utena is being rereleased over here next year?

This is bullshit, now my High Grade is doing random pauses while I play SSFIV on the PS3, but not on the 360. Also, my Arcade sticks are missing, I went to check my T5 limited edition box to use on the PS3, but then I realise the box was full of mags, same with my SFIV stick(360) and SSFIV stick(Dual-Mod)) At least my other sticks were not taken(Like my DC stick)

I'm fucking heated right now, for the simple fact I don't have the cash to replace those sticks and two, someone I know did me dirty. And I have no gigs this month at all, shit is crazy. It looks I have to put some of my gaming collection(SEGA Saturn/DC/PS2/PSOne)up on the buy and sell trade thread. Just looking to trade for a stick(Dual-Mod even better)thats all. I'll post what I'm willing to part with tomorrow(Like my sealed copy of Xenogears*non-greatest hits* for example)Right now, I'm trying to figured out, WTF is going on.

Great stick. I have one. Full sanwa arcade-spec parts, cable storage and not too heavy so it's relatively easy to travel with.
Do you find it comfortable? It seems like it would be with where you put your wrist compared to a TE.

@ShinobiFist That sucks man. It's worse when it is someone you know that did you wrong.

It's designed like the Vewlix cabinets; your wrists rest on the slope.
It's more comfortable for extended periods than he TE (where my wrist rests on the bezel bump) and especially TES (where my wrist rests exactly on the sharp edge of the artwork)

+1 respect for the V3/VX-SA. It's a great stick, very much the answer to Mad Catz's TE. It does some things better, some things worse: The start button placement is going to piss some people off, and there's no button lock. With that said, I agree that it's more comfortable to use than a TE over long periods of time. I'm very fond of mine :D

Aokage - How did you get the 2 button caps white - dye? Is it easy to do, I'm not a fan of the black ones that came with my stick.

Yeah, I used VHT Penetrating Vinyl Dye on both the button caps and case. As long as you follow the instructions (light coats, wait 5-10 minutes between coats, good ventilation, etc.) it's very easy to do.

I kinda like this minimalist look. Is the plastic underneath the 1st Edition TE stick artwork black like in the above pic? Seems like an easy enough mod for my complete noob self to pull off if that's the case.

Im in talks with getting a Qanba Empire Arcadia for review so far so good with the new Qanba stick I have heard a lot of good about it.

It's the same as the Q3 Qanba.

They have a handle now, and the cable management on the side, that's the only new difference really over the Q2.

I bought 2 of them and got them today...

Yea sorry :( If there are any issues though, rest assured Mad Catz will take care of ya.

Do you have any suggestions for the issue I'm having with my 1st gen TE stick (360)? Mentioned earlier in the thread, but no one really had any ideas. The "roof" of the cable storage box is caving in, bowing down. Doesn't seem to have enough structural support from below. Photo:

Any ideas would be appreciated.

No clue

Printed out my art to see to make sure it would actually fit on my stick, and it's like all area is about 1mm larger than the face plate. Kept the same sizes as the Madcatz template. Really tempted to decrease the borders by a pixel.
And final art. Looks even better when printed. :D
9 hour edit. Just finished putting the art on, and amazingly my stick still works. Got a bit impatient with the cutting of the holes, as seen in the area around turbo. I'll smooth it out later. Overall, I'm happy. :D

So what are the current options available for dual modding a 360 TE stick at the moment?I've been out of the loop when it comes to the newer methods that came out in the last couple years.

Slap a ChIMP into it and you're done.

I just received a dual modded Hori VLX in the mail from Shoryuken user: jamesepoop. It is ill as fuuuuuuuu. Swapped out the color buttons and replaced the dust washer and shaft with the white Mad Catz.
