I've been using that one for saturn shooters for the last month, exclusively. Mine is grey but identical. Very nice and I prefer it to the more expensive/rarer Saturn Virtua Stick. The only game I've found it awkward for is Guardian Force. It is cheap but good.

And,

Why the hell doesn't PA have the V3 yet?! Grrr...was kinda hoping to do that with Sin and Punishment to so I get them overnight instead of waiting a week for NCS.

Honestly, I think the Rock Bands and Guitar Heros have really had a positive effect on people shelling out money for peripherals, and the arcade stick community can attribute a part of it's resurgence to that (as well as SFIV hype!).

Indeed, without this GAF thread I most certainly would never have purchased a stick and stuck to pad.
So thanks to MarkMan and all the other kind gaffers with their knowledge and answers to FAQs.
 
Yeah,

MarkMan is responsible for my collection! Thirty strong with a few new choice sticks arriving over the next few weeks. I only had my Wii Stick and HRAP 3 prior to this thread.

Bravo! A million page-views is the next milestone!!
 
Got my HRAP EX-SE earlier this week. Amazon is dope with the fast delivery. Love, love, love it. Great size and weight and just looks badass. And I'm diggin' the buttons--I understand what dementia meant by "tactile" feel. Good stuff. Gonna try it with some Raiden IV--have only been using it for 3rd Strike so far...
 
came in earlier today. now im a proud owner of my first arcade stick. its gonna take awhile to get used to it but im happy. no idea if i should know any tips or whatever.

Quick question that has just popped into my head, I have a SFIV SE Stick(360 version) can I use it on pc?

I've tried google but as i'm at work most forums are blocked and can't seem to find the answer, hoping it's a yes as then i'm going to pick SFIV up for the PC at lunch, triple dipping FTW!
 
Yeah, great work on the thread. Has done great things to me

1. Got me to buy the SFIV TE stick. I absolutely love it.
2. Got me to experience arcade perfect at home - best part of which was going to arcade in Osaka and Tokyo, and beating local kids in SFIV without ever playing the arcade version before, just because of my arcade stick
3. Got me to relive the arcade game of my childhood arcade perfect in my home - like I always dreamed I would once I'm grown up

I don't know if I want to marry you or kick your ass with Wang Jinrei, you have TOO MANY arcade sticks good sir.

Also my Sanwa mod MadCatz SFIV SE stick is still working wonders. I'm still thinking about getting a TE just for laughs though, swap a bit between them for practice.

I know you order from PA. Just kinda curious if I'm gonna need to solder like the BB and SFIV stick or if it is QD like the shump sticks. I've got my buttons ready, in either case. My Triple version is "slow boating" it from NCS.

Not having a dongle for the 360 version of the Wireless stick is a bona-fide plus!
 
Does anyone know if it's possible to get the Street Fighter IV SE (360 version) stick working on an original xbox?

If it's not possible any one recommend any decent sticks?

Someone at SRK posted pics. It's QD and even Seimitsu stick compatible.

10k posts and a couple of hundred dollars later :-)

Got my Tekken Bundle from Gamestop and my Hori SE from amazon. I LOVE the Seimetsu buttons over the Sanwas, but the stick is a little to stiffy for my tastes. The Tekken stick is so small and light. Don't know if I like it yet.

Next on my waiting list is the marvel te stick. That's the one I am really psyched for.


can't wait to see what Madcatz has in store once SSFIV rolls out. This addiction won't be ending soon.

Compared with my hrap2 sa, this stick is awesome, get ready for fighting partys with my friends (y use the te stick, my friends the hrap2sa:D )
 
i just picked up a round two TE when i got tekken 6...so now i have a regular TE and the round two both for 360..i still need a stick for my ps3..im probably going to go with the HRAP3..someone i know has one sealed in a box and is willing to part ways with it for 100 bucks

Should I:

Get a cheap Hori Stick
Save up for the TE stick
Get a Fight pad

Mostly hardcore pad players from the Saturn days play with FightPads and they're few and far between. If you really want to play stick, do the right thing and get the best one right away. My vote lies with TE or a Sanwa mod SE MadCatz stick. If you can find the latter for cheap it performs just as good but is smaller and more lap-friendly.

I've owned all three of those. I'd wait for a deal on a TE stick. Frys seems to have $99 deals every few months.

If you have a PS3 usb Saturn pads are on ebay for around $20 each.
 
Hey Markman,

Any chance we'll see the Asia editions of the Tournament Edition sticks here in the states? I really like the artwork on those but shipping from play-asia is a killer.
 
Does anyone know if there is a quality adapter that would allow me to use my 360 stick on a PS3? Just wondering before I go ahead and dual mod my stick if necessary.

Looking for another 360 stick, is the T6 stick a decent value if I'm not factoring in the game? I dunno if it has any Sanwa components.

Is the TE R2 on sale anywhere?

The problem is still there. I already order a Chutulu board and a IMP board. I can't stand the input problems with Tekken anymore.

That's fucking beautiful, just be sure to get colour matching buttons and balltop. I am quite jealous.
 
Sanwa JLWs are usable for fighters (more specifically SFIV) right?

I am searching on the net and I keep getting mixed reactions. I know its not a JLF or Seimitsu or anything but since its a Sanwa it should at least be a bit better than other sticks right?

The SNES Capcom stick I modded has a JLW and im trying to justify my $3.99 + $40 purchase :lol

They're still good but the JLF is just built a lot better. Plus it's only $5 more if it works for you.

Nice! Can't wait to see the finished thing. My Rose-stick feels out of place since I stopped playing her :(
