Selling my PS3 SSFIV TE arcade stick for $80 it's in great shape but I just have more pals on LIVE these days so I need cash for a chun stick. Pics on request includes the original box and I am on the buy sell trade thread too just thought I'd get more relevant interest here. Oh it's the whiteish Ryu Ken art.

I might be interested. PM sent.

i personally think the TE would look 5x better if they would just get rid of those dumb side pieces. Just make it flat.

A lot of people liked the beveled side pieces better.

90% of the joystick cases out there HAVE flat sides and it's the beveled ends that make the R1/R2 TE's stand out. The TE-S looks like about every other rectangular stick out there.

The recent HRAP V redesign series from Hori are also distinct cases. Frankly, I like the side handgrip overhangs on the V3's/VX's quite a bit.

I was no fan of the TE-S design, myself. Much preferred the R1 and R2 cases with the side panels.

To each their own...

Passing on this MvC3 stick... I've got the MvC2 stick and frankly like the art on that one better. Besides the PCB change, this case seems like more of the same. I don't need a million joysticks with different pieces of art to keep collecting for its own sake. I buy what I like.

About the only other Mad Catz TE I'd buy now (besides a heavily discountered R1 PS3 joystick for mod purposes) would be the San Diego CC 2008 version. Preferrably lightly used, near mint/mint condition. Like the color scheme on that stick. The 360 stick sold exclusively in Asia is another possibility when I have some disposable cash. Right now, I'm in a money crunch like many other people.

I'm trying to install my new parts and I'm having trouble removing the original stick. How do I take this e-ring off the bottom of the stick?

edit: I used a fork on both sides of the middle section of the e-ring and pushed it out a little bit. Then I pulled it off with pliers. It was also really easy to put on by squeezing it into place with pliers.

New stick(as in new case design) incoming from Mad Catz? Mark, you have anything to say? Come on, nobody reads GAF so your secret is safe here :3

From the looks of it, it could be a Daigo "The Beast" Umehara themed stick. It already looks more interesting then the MvC3 stick. Hopefully this is a brand new case design. I'm looking forward to see the final design.

To each their own indeed. IMO the TE-S is by far the best looking out of the bunch.

Now you see why I'm getting rid of my S-TE. I actually like this stick designs without the wings but the Chun-Stick is the best of both worlds.

No wings and a nice bevel.

Who said it's an arcade stick?

;)

Also MVC3 sticks up for preorder in case anyone is interested...

Also, I know no one has seen the MVC3 sticks in person yet, so trust me it looks better than in pics (same with MVC2).

sold my madcatz TE stick for $80 and got that 2x TvC stick for $40 deal

i personally cant tell the difference between the 100% authentic sanwa parts and the madcatz copi=y and now i have 2 sticks

even, better... the sticks work on all my consoles using the mayflash adapter

Yep...same stick different sticker. The point I made quite obvious by the bold text. lol.

And? What exactly are you trying to state? Your disappointment? Your lack of excitement from the dedicated stick? You feel betrayed and insecure because Madcatz wasn't able to provide you with a slightly different case from existing models?

Don't kid yourself, no one gives a fuck. There are already people who have mentioned their lack of interest in the stick, now move on.

People should be happy that they get a quality stick with the best parts available that's fully customizable and easy to swap out parts and such. Instead whine whine boo hoo. man haters need to shut the fuck up, gets tiresome.

Solune, thanks. I don't mind it when ppl complain, but sometimes it's just lol-worthy.

I modded my MVC3 stick btw. This is probably the first live picture of it... The below image is what I posted in the Feb. Pick-Up Post...

Good things come in THREEs... (If you guys don't get it, the shoes pictured below are Air Jordan IIIs)...

Hey, can anyone point me to a place (or person) that sells clear plexi covers for the HRAP sticks? I want to pull one out for my daughter to use but I don't want her to destroy it.

_dementia said:

Yeah, that's perfect, thanks. I also see that they have plexi panels that act as entire replacements for the metal top panels. Hmmm...does any place actually sell replacement metal top panels for HRAPs? I can't imagine plexiglass would be sturdy enough at the thickness needed to not protrude a bit on the top, which I would like to avoid. Even if it is strong enough, I'd rather have a metal replacement panel.

edit: I see someone on shoryuken is starting to sell metal top panels soon. I'll try looking into that as an option.

Due to the high volume of orders, we have to limit the Marvel VS. Capcom 3 FightStick TEs to one per order. Sorry :(

Hey, Markman - in the promo shots of the 360 MVC3 stick the buttons are white. I thought this broke Microsoft's policy, or have they relented on that at last? I remember that was the explanation given for the coloured ABXY buttons on the TE-S and Chun Li sticks.

What's the info on this guy? I thought most adapters were laggy messes. If there is a solid Wii -> 360 converter then I would be interested in the TvC sticks as well.

It works pretty well for PS3 and PC I haven't noticed a bit of input lag but then again I'm not a tournament level player. It definitely doesn't register on 360 though: I tried.

The adapter is not laggy, but it also won't work on 360.

With the Mayflash adapter, you can use the TvC stick on Wii, PS3 and PC.

edit: gah, I can't believe I didn't see that this was already replied to 3 hours ago. Is the "Edit/Del" link really just "Edit?" I don't see an option to delete a post, which I would have done.

some random templates i did (as in lazily recolour the old vewlix template) to see what could be done with black rim/orange plungers (thanks again ExMachina)

Yay!

New stick to order for my MC collection. Thanks MarkMan! Gone all week so nice news to come back to!

ALSO: any codes for the Madcatz store (free fedex or anything) out there now?

Are there any versions of the TE stick that are slimmer in height than the Original TE? Some of my research said the Chun Li TE might be, but I found some conflicting reports on that. I assumed this would be the right place to ask.

I'm fairly certain the shell mold is the same for all of them.

Id love to get a stick, but honestly cant afford to drop 150 this month (new motherboard, MvC 3 SE, etc.) However, I could pull together $60-$75 for one. Any suggestions on how I could get one that isnt rubbish, but is fairly decent for somewhere in that range? New, used (in good shape), doesnt matter.

I posted in the B/S/T thread looking for one, but figured I'd stop off in here too, since the people with arcade sticks are bound to be in the Arcade Stick thread.
I've got a buddy who is looking for a Femme Fatale stick, for the 360. I found one on eBay for $250 and he demanded the link so he could buy it, but I then had to break the news that it was for PS3 (and yes, I know he could mod one, but after the deployment he was just on and the one he is on currently, he has the money to throw away looking for a dedicated 360 stick rather than modding a PS3 one).

Does anyone here have one they would be interested in parting with? Would SRK be a good place to look? I don't ever go to SRK, since it is blocked at work, so I don't know if there is a part of the community that sells things on there or not.

I personally think he is crazy for wanting to spend that much on a stick, and simply for the fact that Cammy is on it, but whatever. When he finally does get his hands on one, he'll probably deploy again soon after, which means I get to use it.

I'm actually getting ready to ship him his MvC stick and Xbox and copy of MvC3 when it comes out, so he can practice up for when he gets back.

Fightstick SE is your best bet in that price range.

I finished putting the new parts in my Pelican Real Arcade Universal.

I left the top three buttons stock and I ordered my MC Cthulhu last night. The parts are all Happ competition. My girlfriend is a graphic designer and is going to make me something to put in the card holder at the top left.

edit: The stick has a red LED to the left of the top three buttons. Will there be a way to wire that to the Cthulhu?

I posted a couple of sticks for sale and still have not sold them:

If you're interested please feel free. All are welcome =)

Threi, you totally made the most of the black rim/orange plunger buttons!

I would expect that we're going to see many more American sticks after April 19th...

Are there any adaptors to make PS3 or 360 sticks work on the Wii? I've got a good stick each for those but none for the Wii and I won't buy a Wii stick just for TvC - it's not worth it and I don't have enough space.

Got my TVC sticks in yesterday.

The stock buttons and parts are really good. I'm not even gonna bother to mod them.

There was a problem with one of the buttons (A, lucky me to have the most essential button fail) though. It wasn't registering half the time. Took it apart and found the spring was bent so I replaced it with a stock part from the SF4 one. While the button works now, there a huge difference. The ones with the sf4 spring feels much looser. Still works fine and probably won't go to the trouble of returning it but I might switch one of the lessor used buttons like lz, rz with it.

Speaking of that which is less used rz or lz?

So my modded Hori RAP3 stick is on it's way(guy just dropped in eww sanwa parts) and I'm pretty psyched.

I'll probably keep the Sanwa buttons because they don't bother me that much, but the stick HAS to go. I'm looking at the LS-56-01, since I already have an LS-32-01 in my SE and I've heard it's a little tighter and it looks slightly longer as well which is what I'm looking for.

Of course, I also want to replace the artwork, and I've been just dying to use my deed of noble title(baronhood) on an arcade stick.

The 88' Jordans are one of my favorites!

So what would the interest level be in a handheld controller that had a microswitch joystick like the neo-geo pocket, but made for the consoles/PC? It's something I've wanted for a LONG time. Could it be something that could be marketed and sold nowadays with the fighting game genre seemingly stronger than it has been? Cause I want one :(

Show us pics when it's done! Another bonus about the LS-56 is it should fit fine. I don't believe the stock mounting bracket on the HRAP3 supports a Seimitsu LS-32.
