NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread

Just bought a 360 and mk with a new SE street fighter stick. I can feel the addiction starting. That's 3 so far and I plan to try this dual modding for the ps3 along with ky first art mod!
 
ok so i got my parts and now im spray painting some parts. how the heck do you remove the white panels on the side of the te stick. the arcade stick is opened up and i see the scres but i cant get to them. can some1 explain or link me to a video pls pls pls D:

you have to open the stick from the bottom, then remove that plastic brace bottom brace with holes. Then you'll have access to the screws that hold the side panels in place.

I would like to get a SF4 Chun Li stick but they are pretty rare in Canada new and the places that do have them charge quite a bit (understandably) for shipping. Thanks.

almost finished one for a customer. I don't think anyone paint the gate and other matching parts such as the jlf harness. . . All I know is that pcb painting and gate painting color scheming was done by me for ages before anyone else on this and other sticks before.

If I see ppl imitating/copying going for the same idea on sites like SRK etc. from now on that's how I know. Not many times you can boast about being first when it comes to stick modding after all. heh.
 
This might not be the best place to ask, but I've searched through the B/S/T thread and made it known that I'd like to do this, but haven't had any responses yet -

If anyone is interested in doing a swap of a PS3 TE for a 360 TE, please PM me!

plasti-dip is designed for printed circuit boards. Been doing it for a long time. Just gotta be careful to spray evenly like any paint job, to avoid making runs. It can be peeled off if you spray too much on in one spot.

On normal plastics like the gate, jlf harness etc you should use vinyl dye since that is designed for plastics.
 
I want to build my own stick. Can anyone post a link to a page that can tell me all the parts I need? I looked at SRK but unless I missed something all their "newbie" threads seem to act like I should already know what parts and wiring I need. I know about the stick and the buttons and the case but I need to know about everything else. I probably missed the thread at SRK that details everything.

Last year both madcatz and hori were selling sticks and accessories at Evo so I'm guessing it's going to be the same this year. Can't tell you if they'll have the chun li stick or not though.
 
Woohoo!

Just went to Gamestop, they only had the PS3 version of the Round 2 TE Stick. The manager called another store and found the 360 version. They're gonna call me when it comes in this week to the store by me. I'm pumped! This is my first arcade stick. Just in time for AE too.

Now I have to look for some awesome Cammy art.

You can tell I'm very excited to get my first stick on Friday Hahhaha. What do you guys think of this? It's plain but I like it. I'm open to suggestions though. I whipped it up today with a little help from a fellow member of HaloGAF. It's going on a SFIV Round 2 TE Stick .

Also, a very nooby question but what type of material/paper do I print this on? How do I know the correct size?
 
Wow, so, a PDP stick broke during the finals of the MK tourney? That PDP was sponsoring? Christ, bad PR... but after using those cheap ass Happ buttons, it's not a surprise...

Yep, I missed it live but that sounds like a huge blow up.
During the ward ceremony, the announcer mentioned that top 8 would win PDP sticks and was like "WE KNOW YOU GUYS LOVE THEM" to the biggest awkward silence ever.

My Hori itch needs scratching but I'm not sure to go for it. Hopefully they pull it down before I decide to order.

Nice piece of Hardware, for sure!
