Everyone goes through that Tansut. Just stick with it. Turn inputs on and see what you're doing wrong. It's very likely you're not inputting the full motions. Like stopping at down-forward instead of forward for supers/ultras.

Definitely turn on inputs. I consistently get QCF done on the 2p side but miss on the 1p side because the button input registers before the forward input.

Stock images don't do the stick justice... It has electroplated (metallic) side panels and metallic art print for the top panel. It looks pretty snazzy IMHO.

Yea that is leagues better than that stock image, you guys should try and change the stock image.

Hard to do it with the white background we have going on for our backgrounds and the way we shoot them. I don't mind posting real pics though. Real pics is da best.

I posted the red side too: http://twitpic.com/6a5pz7

This reminds me of the pokemon ball I got with a gold mewtwo card at burger king. People are gonna make Balrog and Captain America sticks with this.

Theres this local used movie/music/video game store chain in Chicago I walked in and there it was. I don't think I was in the store for more than a minute. I walked in saw it, paid for it and walked out with the largest grin on my face

If you're not afraid of opening it up, you could pop out the A button, separate the barrel from the plunger and sand the plunger down a little bit. If you don't want to do that, just mash the A button for a while - The plungers are slightly oversized and tend to stick a little, but they wear in.
Thanks a lot man, I'll try that before opening it up. Sorry for the late reply ;)

Lucky man, that's a great pick-up.

Whats my best option in getting a Dreamcast stick?

I have 2 ps3 hori fighting stick 3's, is there any such thing as a USB>DC adaptor, or will I need real DC sticks?

Can anyone tell me the differences between square gate and the others?
I'm looking to mod the tatsu stick with a new joystick(at the recommendation of notworksafe) and possibly a gate. So far, I've heard that octagonal gates are better for fireball characters like Ryu who I'm playing in 3S OE and SSFIV. notworksafe has told me not to bother with changing the gate but I don't really like how I'm messing up a simple DP on the joystick.

is there anyone that builds quality PS2 arcade sticks (to use on both my PS3/360/older consoles via adapters)? any location is fine, but east coast north america would be preferred. links to any e-shops and such are cool too, I wanna do some research for my next stick

If you're willing to spend money on a custom stick, you might as well get one with an MC Cthulhu board and order some custom cables along with it. Not a lot of people are doing straight PS2 hardware any more, and it'll save you the trouble of tracking down adapters for each system. (This is also the only way to get 360 and Dreamcast support without adapters, as it can "piggyback" stripped down controller PCBs from those systems.)

As far as where to go, I'd start on the Shoryuken trading forum. A few very talented individuals have set up shop there, and I'm sure someone is willing to build you the stick you want if the price is right.

Not to be rude, but it's really gaudy... a single color shell makes the MC sticks shine, Red, White or Blue, not all 3...

Sure, I agree, but when tied to the MLG license, I think this stick resonates better to that brand.

Plus, we wanted to do something more unique. Not just an all black stick with MLG art on top. That's why we did the metallic/electroplated sides.

I asked before but I don't think I got any replies. Anyone know of anywhere I can get a VLX Pro for some sort of reasonable price in the UK, I've looked around a little and I'm getting prices at around £300 which I obviously don't want to pay. Any help is appreciated.

Just quoting for the new page, still looking for cheaper(ish) prices.

I switched to an octagonal gate a few weeks ago and noticed a huge improvement in my execution. I'm sure with practice the gates are the same but for a new player like myself it's totally worth it.

Anyone else?

New to the fighting games or just playing stick? I've been practicing for at least an hour or two everyday now and I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

New to the stick. That having been said I've not progressed past "casual" with a fighter since....probably the original Darkstalkers. And even that was with a pad.

Doesn't seem easier.

How are you inputting the DP motion on a square gate?

My cousin, who had grown up on American style sticks, was also having this issue because he was finishing the motion with a forward quarter circle motion on a square gate opposed to the proper way of putting it right into the bottom right corner, in a "Z" shaped motion.

Exactly like that on the right. It's a bit hard to pull of that motion on the 2P side.

Is it possible to still get the Type "S" sticks new? So far all the new sticks are the bulkier style. I prefer the Type "S" style a bit more...

Quick question about something that's just a little irksome at the moment. My TE plexi isn't sitting flush on the right corner, it pops up just a little bit. All the screws go in fine except for that one in the right corner as well, it goes in to a point and just keeps spinning. Should I open the thing up and see if some of the wires are bunched up under it so it's not fitting flush or what?

Yes, Xbox 360 ones are still available.

A decent "shorthand" that might make things easier to learn is just to tap right, then do a QCF. That's how I solidified by dragon punches on a stick before focusing on the Z motion.

thanks for the advice! a stick with an MC Cthulhu board does sound like a way better option

edit: how much does a stick with a MC Cthulhu board already installed usually go for?
