I'm 15 minutes in but I absolutely hate how overproduced this is.
For anyone reading this thinking "overproduced, what the fuck are you talking about" - I was watching the wrong 2022 Dahmer show on Netflix, lol.
Anyway, I've binged the entire actual Dahmer show over the past couple of days, and it was quite the ride. Starts off slow, but gets better with every episode. Harrowing yet captivating performance by Evan Peters. Incredible screen presence.
Amazing soundtrack, too.
I know they've taken some creative liberties with certain characters like the neighbour but overall it's pretty gnarly knowing that the major story beats actually happened. The sidesteps to
Ed Gein and John Wayne Gacy where incredibly well done. Show was probably one episode too long, it got a bit over indulgent with the neighbour lady near the end.
I'm sensing an overabundance of Dahmers this upcoming Halloween.
