Netflix in September

I'm glad Space Dandy is being added to Netflix, but what of Season 1? Also, I thought Age of Ultron was gonna be on Netflix, as well.

Damn, I've been meaning to watch IT Crowd for ages and it's been in my queue. Can't squeeze it all in by the end of tonight so I guess I'll have to get it from the library.

Some decent stuff coming in, though.

Already? Maybe by the time Avengers 3 is out :P

Well next year the big part of Netflix's disney deal kicks in... All Disney movies, including Marvel and Star Wars, are supposed to appear on Netflix the same time they'd appear on HBO. So a couple months after release.

Sometimes they do skip for anime. They used to have just season 2 of Black Butler and Spice & Wolf for awhile. They finally added S1 of Black Butler recently but they removed Spice & Wolf entirely.
But yeah, hopefully they add season 1 of Space Dandy soon as well. Although Space Dandy doesn't really have an overarching story - you can enjoy any episode at random.

That's good to hear it's more of an episodic show (loved that about most of Bebop and Shampaloo). I've watched most of Star Trek Next Generation and skipped all over the place just fine. If it ends up only being season 2 of Space Dandy then I won't hesitate on it. Thanks.

It's been driving me crazy that they've had Elite Squad 2 up for AGES but no Elite Squad 1. I don't understand programming like this. Maybe for some episodic series it's okay but for a movie who's predecessor you absolutely want to see it doesn't make any sense at all

Yikes. I still need to watch a whole bunch of those. Never expected Netflix to lose those. And I still need to watch Jackie Brown. I better get on that today.

Crash & Bernstein: Season 1-2
I'm not the only one seeing stein with an e, am I? This is for documentation purposes for the future.

Aww man, I haven't finished The IT Crowd yet ; /

Edit. Just bought the last copy of the series from a Swedish retailer and life is good again :D

MONSTER SQUAD! Yes. My VHS copy is shit now so I'm glad it's finally making its way to streaming.

Also looking forward to Portlandia S5 and Walking Dead S5.

Decent month movie wise for me. Lawrence of Arabia, Up in the Air, and Moonrise Kingdom are at the top of my list. Will also watch the most recent Hunger Games since I haven't seen it yet.

Also I really hope Jackie Brown leaving isn't a sign the other Tarantino films will follow soon after D:

Lemme just put up a vote here for Zathura:

Clever, super under-appreciated, and just an all around fun flick. Like a spiritual sequel to Jumanji (the book was actually a sequel to Jumanji).

is that the movie with the girl baby sitting and kids are up in the room playing a board game or something and the whole world just turn upside down? it was so boring.

Woah that's great news. I saw Mindgame fansubbed when it came out and have wanted to see it again for years. Final 15 mins are etched into my brain because of how incredible they were. Never seen any of their other work so this is a real treat.

Yeah! Crossing my fingers that this leads to a bluray release.

You all need to see Lawrence of Arabia if you haven't. It's probably the best movie Netflix has ever made available.

Looking forward to Moonrise Kingdom, myself.

I understand why Star Trek Into Darkness would leave (new enough that they can't buy it in a huge catalogue, but old enough that it's not doing marquee numbers anymore). I don't really understand why the rights to ST: The Motion Picture would be any different than Wrath of Khan or whatever. Is Netflix paying per-movie for catalogue titles anyone? I thought they were paying for the whole catalogue at once.

Does Netflix not have some notification system when things are pulled? I know you can see dates on the browser app but I'd rather just get an email a few weeks in advance when something in my queue is about to go.

The only reason I still have CA Netflix subscription is because of the kids content.

I'm not interested in their original content. Not interested in TV shows. And their movie selection is beyond terrible.

I didn't know pulling content from the service was a thing. Now I have to reconsider subscribing, because I want to be able to see "everything" whenever I want to. Where do I go? Sorry if off topic.

They've always cycled content in and out.

You'll have to just buy 'everything' individually.

Do some movies on the "leaving" list never actually leave? I remember last year they said Re-Animators was leaving and it never did. Or it did and came back and I never noticed. Same has happened with a bunch of other movies too.

I guess I better watch Wolf of Wall Street (though I think this might also be on Prime or Go) and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (though I'm not sure it's worth my time) before the end of September.

Sad to see School of Rock go. Didn't realize it was leaving and didn't watch it. Oh well.

Picking up Lawrence of Arabia (will finally watch this), PoI (GAF loves this one).
