So...does leaving EU mean that UK shows/movies don't count towards the 30% EU streaming content quota or is this about European works (and thus includes UK)?

Edit:
lol

Damn good stand-up special with a narrative about his experience growing up as a minority in America. Real heartfelt.

UK shows probably (unless there's some kind of treaty agreement otherwise as part of the Brexit negotiations and I wouldn't bet my house on it) won't count once the UK leaves the EU in two years time. They do count today.

It's probably a good day to work in RTL's archive sales department.

It was called Homecoming King because it was filmed in his hometown.

Okay, that makes so much sense. I feel silly.

I'm a mark for boxing movies so my opinion is tainted but I loved Southpaw.

Completely off topic, but since you're a boxing movie/show lover, did you ever seen Lights Out (the FX TV series, not the horror film)? Don't think it's available anywhere streaming, but totally worth checking out if you love media about boxing like I do.

No, never heard of it. I'll keep an eye out for it though.

Yeah apparently all CW shows hit netflix 8 days after the season ends. So flash should be very soon, along with arrow + supergirl etc..

Can't wait.

Apparently supergirl is 30th and flash is the 31st, I think arrow is 1 day after that.
Yeah this is right, looked it up earlier. Been waiting haha
Edit: has the release date for Gotham showed up yet?

I wonder how far HoC will fall with Trump in office. The nightly news is basically HoC. I think Designated Survivor lost 1/4+ of its viewership when the Orange Turd won.

I doubt it will have as big an effect. Makes sense that the broader viewership for a network show would dip with such a focus on politics, but I think HoC is established enough on Netflix where it will sustain its audience for the most part.

Nice, F is for Family season 2 is 10 episodes long. I really enjoyed the first season.

Hopefully HoC will be available in my country. They advertised it a few days ago as "coming May 30th", but maybe it was a mistake :/

I thought doctor strange was supposed to be added today. It's not on my Netflix

Edit: nvm googling led me to Reddit and I was able to get it by searching "doctor" only and it was the last movie

So Riverdale is such a hilariously perfect show for The CW. Watching it on Netflix recently and it checks all the box with a ridiculously good looking cast and over dramatic borderline nonsensical storylines. But it also comes across self aware. Not quite as self aware as say... MTV's Scream tv show, but it's nearly there. It also has the benefit of doing a pretty good job of executing the IP with a twist angle that it was pitched as.

Greg Berlanti just has this marvelous knack for these types of shows. A super fun aspect of these shows is that they cast older actors that were known for the genre when they were younger. In his Superhero shows, he casts actors from previous iterations of his characters (Mark Hamill, Dean Cain, John Wesley Shipp, Helen Slater, etc...) but since there were no live action Riverdale shows or movies to pull from, he instead goes into the vault of Teen Genre film and tv with a touch of Soap Opera as well... casting Skeet Ulrich, Luke Perry, Molly Ringwald, Marisol Nichols, Martin Cummins, Madchen Amick, Lochlyn Munro, and Robin Givens.

Now I wouldn't personally spend my Primetime hour watching this on broadcast... it makes for really good Netflix background trash tv viewing while knocking out chores.
