Netgear is the best in my eyes. Linksys is awful for wireless.

Dunno about the PCI wifi cards... I have a Powerbook. But I have a Linksys WRT54G router, and It has been great.

i think they are all pretty good these days, i ve heard the linksys is the best if u want an idiot proof setup, i recently got 2 netgear 54MBS 614G wireless routers and they work flawlessly.

I would match brands with whatever router you have because many times they have some 'speed acceleration' features between the router and the network cards if they are the same brand. Otherwise, just get whatever is on sale.
