Free Speech absolutist and non-snowflake Elon Musk declares the listing of the people he's given access to our treasury system a crime, then appears to get the US attorney in DC to go after people:

Poor defenseless redditors being hunted by mini-dictator Elon Musk and all they said was that that we should pink mist everyone at DOGE

He hasn't been vetted, he hasn't been confirmed by Congress... He hasn't been background checked or anything...

Yet he has the keys to government... But y'all are ok with that because... Billionaire and Trump.

Yep. Pretty sure what's going on now, and the stuff they're letting him do, is outright illegal. But the checks and balances aren't there anymore, they can do whatever they want.

That's the nature of government. Any private contractors should know they're taking a certain risk compared to dealing with a normal business and calculate accordingly. If I knew I'd have a new boss every four years, I'd do the same. I'm sure there's fees or severance baked into these things, so I don't see the issue, and if they didn't negotiate for that, they definitely deserve to be fired

I said that it's important to meet obligations. The scenario you paint of choosing to fire someone while providing a severance package suggests fulfilling obligations.

If you get fired there's a process and legal framework for it. But it seems like you are shifting the goalposts because not meeting obligations would mean simply turning the faucet of money off.

In other words the stipulations of all contracts should be honored including how to end them. If there is no way out it has to be negotiated.

As a simple principle it's critical for the government to fulfill any business commitments smoothly as a simple matter of trust.

Imagine if he'd spent all of this energy to make actually good cars instead at being a terminally online retard.

If it was a well oiled machine, I'd agree with you. But at this point there's so many belts and gears I really don't care. Also, trust and government hasn't been a thing as long as I've been alive. Like I said, if you want to do business with a flip flopper, bet on the flip and plan for the flop. Also, aren't annual shutdowns like a christmas tradition? We'll be fine

I don't have a problem with DOGE having access to the U.S. Treasury, so long as they cut tax breaks for the preposterously wealthy, who clearly don't need the handout. But, unfortunately, that won't happen.

If inflation comes to a stop in two years along with credit rates improving among other things, I wonder if we'll see any apologies in this thread? Probably not

Hired by the president of the United States to do the thing he promised the 75 million who voted for him he would do.

Nothing has been more official or more "Will of the people" than this.

It's the deep state of waste. I must question the the motivation of anyone who opposes removal of mass fraud and waste, I am insanely jealous.

The grift is over

I haven't heard anyone oppose the removal of mass fraud and waste, but I have heard people oppose Elon being involved in it. :messenger_beaming:

Who else can weaponize autism against the intertwined deep state. The huge amount of waste must get every American tax payers blood boiling.

Anyone actually posting threats is breaking the law.

Listing names isn't illegal. Hell every single federal employee's name is public information.

I'm sick of the morons constantly posting about violence online, bunch of keyboard warriors and I hope an example is made out of those people.

Posting names still isn't a crime lol

Trump was telling everybody Elon was going to run DOGE and slash waste while Based Musk danced like a monkey in the background. The background check was the voting. Kama wasn't quite brat enough.

I don't think Musk is a Nazi. He's just a fucking awful troll that way too many people are willing to stan for due to their politics.
