Joypad support please and some form of pseudo-realtime combat.
AND, no 'we think our scripts are clever and smart', because they are not Obsid, they are so not.

'I wouldn't mind kissing that man between the cheeks'

Fantastic, especially knowing this a updtaed version of Aurora Engine, so it offers great flexibility to create.

Neverwinter scene has been awesome, I expect no lees of this second part.

No Bioware!?!?!?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Obsidian Entertainment, which I still have a lot of respect for.. and I think will do a great job with NWN2.. this time it might be more story based right out of the box

Obsidian Entertainment, the guys that did Planescape which is SOOOO much better than the Bauldurs Gate games.

Yeah, cause of the focus on the story (as a previous poster mentioned)

Well, not exactly Oblivion or Gothic 3 in terms of graphical flavour, but then again this is quite a different beast. For an updated Aurora engine it looks really good actually. Seems to me that they're able to cram much more atmosphere into it compared to the rather bland NWN1 (compared to the classic Infinity RPG's) and the environments look much more dynamic. They don't give the impression of a world built out of blocks like the first one did.

Planescape has better writing/dialogue than BG2, definitely. The gameplay's pretty weak, but the awesome atmosphere they give you easily makes up for any shortcomings.

I thought Black Isle was responsible for Planescape Torment? Are Obsidian ex-BI people?

I heard that the guy responsible for the actual script of Planescape no longer works on videogames, is that true?

Also, they need to get Mark Morgan to do the music. Jeremy Soule is cool and all, but Mark had a great thing going with Planescape and NOLF.

The screenshots look okay, but it's really the gameplay itself that makes NWN2 hold so much promise. Besides the story, which has tons of potential thanks to Obsidian's involvement, the game seems like it will fix all of the flaws of NWN. The combat will be deeper (with a more faithful rendition of the D&D 3.5 rules system and full party control) and the toolset will be more flexible, powerful, and easy to use.
