"Nexon's new action game set in the Joseon era has been identified as "Woochi the Wayfarer," a title based on the classic novel Chŏn Uch'i chŏn.
"Woochi the Wayfarer" is an action-adventure game in which players become Jeon Woo-chi, the Taoist wizard who stars in the Korean classic, and explore a grim world teeming with supernatural beings. The subtitle "Wayfarer" means "a traveler on foot," hinting at a storyline that follows Jeon Woo-chi as he roams the world.
The project is widely presumed to be Nexon Games' PC-and-console, open-world action RPG codenamed "2XTF," which surfaced in February via recruitment posts. At the time, Nexon Games said it was targeting AAA-quality visuals alongside compelling combat and narrative.
Another view is that this could be the formalization of "Project V," a technical demo revealed last August under Nexon's sub-brand MINTROCKET. That video showcased high-end visuals set in Joseon and a hunter squaring off against a tiger turned monster by shamanic rites—earning it the nickname "Korean Monster Hunter."
At the time, "Project V" was not regarded as a game in active development. With the unveiling of "Woochi the Wayfarer," however, some observers suggest that the tech demo may have informed or influenced this new title".

We've reached the point where I'm going to need a bit more than "action game with supernatural elements set in ancient Asia" to get excited, there was some novelty to it at first but we've gotten so many similar games it's basically the equivalent of seeing a cinematic trailer of some generic medieval knights fighting a dragon.

Hopefully they reveal gameplay soon.

Ah man, Woochi The Wayfarer sounded like it might've been something cool but turns out it's just another Wo Long / Wuchang / Wukong / Bingbong Bongo game, pass.
