I can't wait for the shitty, buggy, and unoptimized (hello 4ghz-2gb ram-x800xt just to run @ 60fps in 12x10) release! Then we can somewhat enjoy the game while EA gets to pushing some patches. Three months later the game is finally playable for the rest of us w/o top of the line systems.

Really? I thought the environment looked pretty good. Maybe not as detailed as some games, but it's gonna have some huge maps (well, I'm assuming as much - it damn well better).

Of course it's gonna run like shit. One can only hope that the whole commander system makes it a Battlefield game where people aren't totally clueless and are of some actual use... that's why I'm being seduced by this game. But I'm totally confident the game will be a pig that will require the settings to be turned down.

two video cards in SLI? sweet! didn't know they had that yet (i've been out of the hardware loop for a bit). damn though, if it did that, i got no chance with my system. although like the guy above hinted at... it was an alpha version, so final release will obviously run much better. maybe i got a chance afterall.

What's "anisotropic filtering?"
I see that term in used in the settings for a lot of PC/Mac games but i don't really notice what it does when turned on. I usually just leave it off.
