New Berlin 2087 Gamescom 2025 Trailer

This trailer is a rollercoaster, high resolution textures, but archaic animations (maybe intentional because many characters appear to be cyborgs).

It looks like Cyberpunk and Max Payne did coke for 72 hours straight, then proceeded to conceive a child.
Also, that takedown animation looked like the protagonist was trying to put dude to bed, gently...

Lately, Elias Toufexis is working in very weird games man, why would he accept to work on this and in Mindseye? It's a terrible shame

Gentlemen, I'm not going to insult your intelligence pretending that I'm not all over this.
Maybe this is the "good" Mindseye. If it can hit something like a 7/10 I'll give it a close look. But I won't be surprised if it sucks either.

This does look like one of those fake looking mindseye-like games, yeah.
Would be nice if it positively surprised but I am not holding my breath.

A german developer, based in Berlin making a Cyberpunk game located in Berlin. What should possibly go wrong?
From what i saw its their first game, yes?

Yes but it's sad that he is choosing games that are shit lately
Probably since they cancelled one of his AAA games and he did say in some interview he actually lost some money because of it, at least that's what I think I've read. Somewhere.

So he is probably just trying to make up for the losses he had in smaller more likely to release projects and fast. He probably can't foresee if the small team delivers or not.

I think that's clever. A man's gotta eat. At least that's some income versus no income. Instead of going for another AAA titles and lose more money - that's probably one of his fears now.

So I can't personally be mad at this guy, tbh.

It more like industry is backwards now. And I get it. He is just doing his job. Regardless if the projects will be successful and good quality. He himself is doing some good VA work.

It's getting weirder to tell how polished a game is gonna be, when the models and textures on them look nice, but spots of gameplay make it look stiff.

The quick cut snippets of gameplay strung together thing doesn't help, but if they post a walkthrough with an extended session of gameplay I'd like to see it.

Day 1. Looks better then Cyberpunk 2077

I didn't see enough gameplay, but who cares if the Ai doesn't work, they'll fix it 4 years after release......

This game's animations look so jank.
Not to mention the script of this trailer seems like it's written by a 5-year old kid who just got home from school excited just learning bout black holes and watching dystopian sci-fi movies wtf.

mind's eye No.2 incoming...
Everything about it screams "vertical slice"/super curated/fake.

A mishmash of 3-4 games sloppily put together and trying to see if it sticks - spoiler: it probably won't.

Looks cool but the feeling is that they're relying on UE5 pre-baked features (metahuman models and others) to make the game look like AAA when it's probably a janky AA title under the hood.
It looks cool though and I hope it turns out great, but after MindsEye it's better to be cautious.

Hmm. So it's first and third person? That usually works out well . . .
I lost some interest in it as soon as it showed mindless zombies, doesn't seem like a game that should have zombies and it was just thrown in.
Bad acting or maybe some AI doesn't immediately turn me off though. With how western devs have been lately, I have more faith in some of the AI.

This got 1.420.472,00 Euro from the german government

As a 3rd and 1st-person action role-playing game, it combines elements of game and film blockbusters, science fiction and cyberpunk in a unique way and offers a genre mix of shooter, stealth, investigation and role-playing mechanics.
