Mike Works said:Ha, not much. I last upgraded my PC for Battlefield 1942, before then, it couldn't even run Carmageddon 2 without chugging.
Right now I'm got a GeForce ti4200, 1.8mhz Athlon, 768MB RAM or whatever it is... and uh, that's all I can remember. It can run Pirates fairly smoothly if that's any indicator.
Well it has not changed allot from version .5 where the HIND had gotten a big ass to move around, very annoying but true to its size.SKluck said:How did the chopper control in DC end up? I only played it when it first came out and it was fucking impossible to control. Which is idiotic. This isn't a sim.
-=::[Eagle-Vision]::=- said:I don't know about that. Such controls certanily give you a lot of freedom to fly, but things like landing in a close space or even keeping it steady are extremely hard to do.
The thing is, even with lots of practice, landing in a small space, can take lots of time. I don't want that in BF2.Vlad said:Yes, but they're doable with a little practice, which is how it should be.
Enigma said:And are you gonna have dedicated servers with fat pipes that can handle tons of players without crippling it with unplayable lag?

Well, he is a flight simulator freak after all, practically every DC player is not.Our ClanLeader can fly try almost every little street in Lost Village. He is a Flight sim freak. I can also do most off the small streets but some are even for me impossible.
They actually have very little input on the game.Well the makers from Desert Combat itself are making BF2. So dont worry about that.

The game looks awesome. DICE owns.
Cold-Steel said:I've seen some insane pilots in DC. You will be running down a street and a helicopter will pass right above you in the most narrow stretch possible.
Yes, but their mostly experimenting with their technology for other games. They were bought by DICE
Really? How's that if it doesn't even support per pixel lighting? From what I've seen Source is capable of per-pixel self shadows, it's just up in the air how much it will bog down any system
Biff Hardbody said:Has anyone tried the new Point Of Existence mod for BFV? Its pretty cool. Modern weapons, a game I guess is very much like what BF2 will be. Or, at least it attempts to be so. Its more vehicle based then I would like, but 1 or 2 of the maps are infantry based. Mod is very smooth, and the sound is GREAT.
