So I heard a new Billy Idol song on the radio the other day. It sounded eerily like all his other stuff. My wife and I even started singing the new lyrics to the tune of "Rebel Yell" and it fit. Funny shit.
He didn't have 10 years of nothing. He had a greatest hits cd with one or two new songs, if I recall correctly. And by new, I mean a remake of a song from the 80s that I can't remember the name of. :lol "Don't you... forget about me.." That song. Unless he did actually release a remake of that song before. If he did, I wasn't aware of it.
Aside from the best of CD, Billy's done a few soundtrack tunes. He released the 2002 CD and DVD, VH1 Storytellers which reunited him with Steve Stevens. Plus, he's been touring extensively over the last 5 years. Steve Stevens is a virtuoso on guitar and he has former keyboardist of Dream Theatre, Derek Sherinian, in the band as well.
Spectral Glider, where do you live in PA? I'm guessing near Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, but I'm just curious.. I live a bit south of there, around Pottsville, or Orwigsburg, if you know either of them..

I'm just a bit north of Scranton. Yeah, I know of Pottsville. Give the Maroons back their NFL title!
Edit: I saw Billy Idol live in Atlantic City about a year and a half ago, he was really, really good live. His current band is pretty tight. He played a full two hours and was worth every penny, I seriously suggest anybody catch him if you ever get the chance.
