TOKYO--On its official Web site, Capcom has listed a new game for as-yet-unannounced platforms. Tentatively titled Ghost, the game is labeled as a "strategic action" game. No release period, price, or game details have been released yet for Ghost. GameSpot will bring you any additional information as it is released.

No hope of this 'Ghost' game marking the return of 'Dead Phoenix?' Strategic action could be used to describe a whole lot of games, and I would venture to say that's how you'd describe Dead Phoenix. But I doubt we'll ever see Dead Phoenix again... unless it's turned into Kid Icarus.

As for Ghost... well... I hope it's not more survival horror or Luigi's Mansion/Ghost Hunter.

The name "Ghosts" implies that it's going to have some kind of horror/survival bullshit in it, since aside from Megaman that's all Capcom knows how to make nowadays. I hope the gameplay is new at the least

Umm, I'm pretty sure this is just Starcraft Ghost. Capcom are the Japanese publishers and have stuck the game down the bottom of their release schedule since the game was delayed/postponed/put on-hold.

MAKUHARI, Japan – September 20, 2002 – During a press conference today at the Tokyo Game Show, Blizzard Entertainment®, a studio of the games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, unveiled StarCraft: Ghost™, a tactical-action console game set in Blizzard’s epic StarCraft® universe. StarCraft: Ghost is currently under development and is scheduled for a worldwide release on multiple console systems. The game will be co-published by Capcom and Blizzard Entertainment in Japan; further announcements regarding platform/country specifics will be announced in the months to come.

I guess it isn't conclusive but the Capcom release list has "Ghost" below even Alone in the Dark: A New Nightmare.

Capcom named it Ghost back then because they weren't sure if they were going to be able to release it under the Starcraft name. Rumor is that Capcom sold (or is trying to sell) the publishing rights for the Japanese release.
