Vid looks meh...

Intersting comment from the interview.
IGN: How have you been getting to grips with the Microsoft Beta Kits? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it?

Dave: The Beta Kits came at a performance price that neither we, nor anyone else out there, wanted to pay. When you have a screen fill-rate of four times of previous hardware, you need some serious power to move it all flawlessly at a seamless framerate. Though there is a lot of power in the Beta kits, we wanted more. When you combine a new platform with new monthly refined XDKs that bring their own bugs with them, it makes it a tricky dance up to the final dip.

The voice over sounds like a couple of the devs had some fun with their audio recording equipment. Seriously, get some professional actors that don't sound completely lame.

I agree with the OP, trailer is "meh" at best

I saw the prequel to this game about 14 years ago.

I'm not worried about the game graphically. Once they have final kits (if they don't already) they should be on their way. What matters for this game is how they will scare you. So far the sound effects are awesome, and hopefully they've really concentrated on this aspect. Here's the quote I was looking forward to:

IGN: It's hard to demo a scary game at E3, which is where Condemned was debuted. The show is loud, busy, and too distracting for a game of this nature. What kinds of scary elements or twists can you reveal to us that won't ruin the game for potential buyers, but that will give a sense of this game's potential to scare, shock or disarm potential buyers?

Dave: Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere… We're focused on what I refer to as the three types of horror: A. Shock -- those standard clichéd moments that gets you every time when something suddenly jumps out at you. B. Tension -- You know they're around but you don't know where. That anticipation when you know it is coming -- but you don't know what -- and you don't know when… And C. Psychological -- You, the player, will find bizarre hallucinations, strange visions occurring and you won't know if they are real or just in the player's head.

i thought that trailer looked pretty damn good. certainly its best showing yet. nice to see more then the standard bum fighting we've seen so far. i really hope the detective bits are cool. looks spooky too
