Copenhagen Cowboy is a thrill-inducing, neon-drenched noir series set across six episodes which follows enigmatic young heroine, Miu. After a lifetime of servitude and on the verge of a new beginning, she traverses the ominous landscape of Copenhagen’s criminal netherworld. Searching for justice and enacting vengeance, she encounters her nemesis, Rakel, as they embark on an odyssey through the natural and the supernatural. The past ultimately transforms and defines their future, as the two women discover they are not alone, they are many.

this thread is bizarre

Refn is easily one of the best directors out there you retarded peasants
He needs a scriptwriter though because he can’t write stories for shit. It’s all style over substance and by God the style is awesome and the soundtrack is always baller but imagine a movie that looks like a Refn movie and is actually good. Sign me up.

Only God Forgives, Neon Demon, visually striking but aggressively poorly written. Which sucks because the potential is clearly there.

It’s no wonder Refn and Kojima are best buds.

This.

Outstanding director. I mean amazing. But dude totally leans on his writers.

I'm retarded?
He seems like a cool guy but he has some weird directing decisions. Driver and Neon Demon are certainly his best work. Im sure he can pull something amazing again someday.

On Netflix now, just finished the first ep. Cool vibes and imagery as usual from NWR.

Subject matter is pretty dark but I'm interested to see the rest.

This has to be Netflix dream show.

Man are all evil, raping pigs, some literally communicate using pig screams.

Nice cinematography. Snail paced show.

edit: Finished the show. Crap. But the cameo at the end looks a lot like...
Kojima

This is max self-indulgent Refn. Comes with a ton of incoherent nonsensical shit, but it also looks and sounds so good.
There is nothing here as good as episode 5 of Too Old to Die Young but you can't go wrong with top tier aesthetics and the excessive panning.

Had this on my list…but mentions of Kojima and random staring turned me off to it. I enjoy a good story, production, or movie…but the mention of Kojima makes me wanna throw myself off a bridge 🤷‍♂️.

I wouldn't call this a good story but Kojima
presence is completely irrelevant. He's on for a couple of minutes and says a bunch of nonsensical shit.

Staring on the other hand,
there's a lot. And a ton of camera pans

I’ll probably fire it up just to see what it’s about.
