Excellent! Trainning mode looks good and I'm not sure if that's a "MTV" make a video or if it's just reviewing your fight. Looks awesome though. :D

I really want to see that new Hitomi costume in motion. Not that it looks good, but I wonder if it will move naturally or not.

I'm assuming the SPARTAN, Leon, Gen Fu, and Ein are 4 of the unlockable charecters, maybe add one more for the boss, so who are the the other unlockables?

The Wrestling Ring level, do the ropes bend back? It looks like you hit the ropes as if there a wall or something...

Who knows. I at least hope they get Ein in on the unlockables. I need my Ein in this game.

Can't they atleast look at MGS4 and see how you make realistic looking hear instead of this #$&*.

Sure, they can get on that just as soon as they master realistic faces, skin and body proportions. Oh wait, thats right, they dont care. That isnt the style they aim for. Is that really a difficult concept to grasp?

Think they are metal poles (probably with electrical current running thru them), not ropes.

Team Ninja needs to learn some lighting/shadow techniques already. This shitty lighting model is unacceptable in this generation at least to me.

Well, phrase things a bit more tone down when comparing anything "Xbox" to MGS4. Or you can be blunt like you did, but it really is annoying.

It's not like I'm lying..

I absolutely adore the way this game looks. It has come a long way since it's first showing.
And for the record I think it looks better than VF5 even without self shadowing. It has a better style, more depth, and cleaner image quality. And that motion blur is to die for.

These latest screenshots have confirmed my suspicions - this game is not Metal Gear Solid 4, but instead, it seems to be the fourth installment of Dead or Alive, a marginally popular fighting game from Tecmo.

With that said, I'm getting a little concerned about the Xbox 360's "power". I mean, if actual gameplay screenshots from a launch window title can't even compete with a cinematic cutscene from a title that's most likely 18 months away, where does that leave Microsoft? I'll tell you where - LAST PLACE.

LOL!

its actually looking quite awesome to me now, but yeah, some better lighting and self-shadowing would really knock it out of the park. that said, i doubt i'll be able to resist picking tis up when it finally hits.

Holy crap, the camera mode looks like it was pulled off of a Canon 5D (autofocus zones aside)! If i had an Xbox 360, i'd get DOA4 just for that mode. :)

Edit: What's with the talk of a "make your own video" mode? What am i missing here?

This better come out before Christmas... can't wait to see it in 720p...

I don't know what the "make your video" mode is exactly but hopefully there will lots of costumes to go with it.

Suikodan is an admitted DOA fanboy.

yeah, i am a huge fan of photomode. seriously, any game with replays needs a photomode. oh, and fps need replays and photomodes from now on too (halo 3... hear me stinkles!)

You can do it better?

Fuck, you better be able to direct, act, and produce better than anyone involved in the film industry, god-inspired music better than anything else on the market better ooze out of your cornhole, and you DAMN WELL better be able to make a better car than any manufacturer because you damn well know that the ONLY time you are able to complain about something is if you can do it better. and yes, that involves sex, too

Why does the characters hair look so much better in the cg commercial then?

Point was, if it's a style choice why isn't it consistant in the pre rendered DOA4 commercial running now.
Because heaven forbid a single valid criticism of a team that has produced some of the most visually-spectacular games this gen is left unchallenged.

I think DOA4 could look a great deal better. Thankfully Team Ninja will have the opportunity to improve and utilize the Xbox 360 hardware over the course of this generation.
