The people look horrid, yes. SD simply has no place in this generation of gaming. But the actual graphic style is good (check out the pic of the octopus boss battle-very moody)

I think SD can work in modern games. The characters in Crystal Chronicles looked nice to me. These character designs are hideous, though.

The octopus boss pic is the first good-looking shot of this game that I've seen.
