Ubisoft is working on offline mode updates for the other games in the series, The Crew 2 and The Crew: Motorfest, and provided more details on them in a new video released today, April 24.

It mostly focuses on The Crew 2, as that game will be receiving an offline mode first. Before then, a "Hybrid" mode for The Crew 2 will be released, allowing players to switch between online and offline play. Producer Gregory Corgie explains in the video that this hybrid approach, combined with the Insider Program's player testing, will allow Ubisoft Ivory Tower to "refine and balance the content" in preparation for a wide release at the end of 2025.

As for The Crew Motorfest, Corgie made it clear that it's prioritizing getting an offline mode working in The Crew 2 first. In the meantime, Corgie says Motorfest players can expect live service support "for years to come."

Testing for The Crew 2's hybrid and offline modes will begin on PC but will eventually come to its PS4 and Xbox One ports.

I kinda get why they would want games to have online requirements, but a switch to turn that off at some time, should also be implemented from the start. Although it is awkward when an older game then needs an naturally online patch to go offline.

They should go back to the first Crew and do the same
Fortunately somebody very kindly started building an online/offline server. Which should be playable very soon. Just as well, because it's the one that actually needs saving and Ubisoft didn't take the opportunity or the hints to go back on this BS.

Don't take me wrong but, shitest or not, gamers who paid for both should be available to play and enjoy the games whenever they want.
Indeed

I paid for the best one three times over, still can't play it. Even got boxed copies.. (n)

I'll never buy another UBI because of it.

The two most shitest Crew games..

Yay.

Motorfest is actually quite good.
Map is more interesting than FH5 and the overall handling & feedback using a DualSense is very satisfying. Probably one of the best game when it comes to DualSense features imho.
But then you have the classic Ubishit premium currencies & shops as well as 20 € vanities & FOMO bullsh*t which plague all their games.

I liked the feel of the driving, I'd bought that super fancy edition day one on the Xbox, but my GOD! The cringe voice overs and infantile nonsense drove me away..

(I did rebuy these two games dirt, dirt cheap on Steam too, purely for my own game preservation..)

But, the 1st is still the best to me, along with Test Drive unlimited 2, yet another brilliant game that got shafted for no damn reason.

I agree with you on the cringe aspect. I basically turned all voices to 0 + disabled subtitles after a week lmao.
Now that they all stfu, it's a good game !
