havent seen the video yet myself, but the pics obviously arent anything special

EDIT: looks like an older trailer... maybe with a few new scenes (i dont remember)

Both the video and the pics (especially) are kinda :/ The vehicle explosions look especially bad.

Hopefully it's just because I watched the GOW vid earlier, but I highly doubt it.

video is kind of... meh

watching the building get demolished didnt have the same "wow" effect... like the first video...

to not lower my expectations of this game i will check out previous images.

what tha...? those look fucking horrible. something's not right here. that's Xbox 360? *scratches head raw*

The level of detail doesn't seem to be too far off from the target video at E3...but the animation isn't even in the same ballpark. It has that typical, choppy "PC" look to it now. The explosions still look nice, but nowhere near the same level of quality as the explosions in the target video.

It also seems to have that same boring presentation that Ubi so loves when it comes to their Tom Clancy titles. Would it hurt them to try and shoot for something a bit more stylish (it doesn't have to be unrealistic or over the top either).

Still, the size and detail of the locations seems quite impressive to me. That scene with the chopper taking off was particularly awesome.

Unfortunately, I think we'll see the same kind of thing with several other big games when compared to their target videos. For example, even if Killzone manages to present detail on par with that CG trailer, I have a feeling the animation won't even come close. Many of the things that make such trailers so impressive are far and away the most difficult thing to complete. I think it comes down more to the talent of the team rather than the power of the hardware.

I dug up this older shakycam footage that's from Amsterdam X05, which people may have overlooked. It's the beach multiplayer level that looks a lot like Far Cry. To me I think it demonstarts that the graphics will have a next-gen crisp look and the player animation is going to be fine.

Another important think this vid shows is the the "zoom aim". People complain about the lack of a first person weapon view, but the "zoom aim" looks pretty darn close to a traditional first person weapon view.

Underneath the video, right click the link and "save target as" to download the video instead of streaming it.
