Am I the only one that just does not care about gta any more? It's the same fucking game that came out like 10 years ago just more swear words and more violence. I have never liked these games. Justin Beiber

Great contribution to this thread junior, you'll be liked around here.

Man, it's crazy to think that IV is five years old and we are still waiting for the next GTA. Took them more time than San Andreas to IV.

It'll have to go a long way to beat the current king of open worlds, Lego City.
Kind of haha, only serious but after this and Sleeping Dogs I'm hoping for quite a shift in such games these days.

SR3 didn't come out in 2012; wow. It seemed like it did. From the looks of SR4 so far, it just looks like an expansion pack instead of what I am seeing from GTA V.

Again, i have the same feeling, and i don't fault R* for taking their time (otherwise this would not be my most anticipated game in the last 5 years) but it's worth considering the two different situations they're facing.
Volition is in no position to let SR4 bake in the oven as much as they want, especially with all the THQ crash problem.
R* and Take 2, on the other hand, aren't as desperate so they can play the long game.

Besides, SR4 could still be extremely good and introduce many new features that aren't immediately obvious, that's why i'm saying we can't judge how much of a cash in it is, yet.

Oh indeed.

One of my favorite videogame trailers ever.
Trailer 2 was good, but this one just had me dream for an entire year.

Glad to hear :D

I spent the better part of a few months concepting & shooting the trailer with the Creative Director. He along with my talented friends who are still there finished the job.

Was one of the most exciting things I ever worked on.

I am intrigued to see how the game comes along. I've seen a ton, but not in almost a year.

YESSS!!!

Can't wait. I love GTA trailers. Still watch the GTA:IV trailers from time to time.

Yeah, me too, strangely enough. My favorite GTA IV trailers are - Walking (Microsoft ad), Niko Bellic, Trailer 3 (the first 2 minute 1), Trailer 1 as well as Roman/Johnny Klebitz & the 60 second commercial.

So much work, so many memories (I didn't work on the 1st 2 trailers, but worked on everything from 3->on)

I want to touch you, inappropriately.

Really? That's awesome.

If you can answer this...were you shown anything outside of the trailer? Rockstar is one of the better devs/producers about not having leaks and staying tight lipped about their secrets. I imagine there's an entire team there dedicated toward security.

You work on Trailer 4? I remember I watched that daily for a month up until GTAIV's release. SO GOOD

What if Sony drops a megaton that while GTA V will be released on PS3 and 360, the delay was due to an exclusive next-gen PS4 version. I would eat my pants.

It may have been pointed out but as it isnt called "Trailer #3" my guess is these are to tide people over and then they'll release the final trailer (the real trailer 3) around launch

RDR and GTA IV also had superb trailers.
Though i've watched the GTAV trailer 1 a million times.

I am very curious to know how's the process for these trailers? Like, how/when do you guys decide the music? And do you have a list of elements you can show? For example in trailer one, you didn't clearly show the three characters thing.
GOTY??? Bitch please!

GOTD!
Game of the day?

Seems like little coverage for something like GTAV, still.
I'd expect them to pump an obscene amount of money in pushing this game.

I'm kind of hoping for a Gameplay video series like what they did for RDR, L.A. Noire, and Max Payne 3.

I remember when October always felt like Rockstar month. Then it turned into Rockstar Summer- it shall be difficult waiting through the entirety of the summer to play this!

Alas, Red Dead always seems to be my go- to as May rolls around.

I've always wondered about the process as well.

Like do the higher ups deal with this stuff? Do the Houser brothers say "show this, but don't reveal this" or do they just have a department of people for trailers that they leave this all up to?

Heart of Black working on some of Rockstar's trailers is pretty damn cool, though. The first GTA V one was awesome.

Whole group is in house, I was hired several years ago. I worked with the game directly so I saw whatever was currently in the build. I was in charge of our team, sort of.

Yep. I remember the day I was shooting the airplane car chase footage, and I fondly remember getting the helicopter on fire above Times Square shot.

It's always different, I don't honestly know much about how things go these days since I haven't been there in almost a year.

It was a fun process to be a part of though, especially when we took a concept and ran with it.

Trailer 1 for V was supposed to introduce and tease the world of V and not get people bogged down in specifics, and I think it was very successful at that.

Sorry for the double post.
