Probably because they have paid R* a shit-ton of money to get exclusive distribution rights to the PC digital download version via Origin? Which they will announce this week after all the trailers and new previews =0)

It's far more likely they just got the rights to distribute the old games.

Other then the trailer tomorrow, some press will be getting hands off previews of the game tomorrow.

So we should expect a big media blast soon

I'm reading speculation that GTA may come to Wiiu, is this reasonable?? I've never played a GTA before so I'll pick this up for PS if need be :)

Starting to get hyped (for trailers :lol). I'll be interested to see what song choices R* goes with for each character. Assuming we're getting three different trailers.

Honestly, I'll be shocked if this comes out on Wii U.

Safe assumption. They said TrailerS after all..

Yeah, makes sense. Almost seems too good to be true after the excruciating drip feed of media over the past year and a half :lol

You're not the only one. I feel the same.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll be watching these. I did swear I would go on a media blackout, but this is pretty much my most anticipated game ever since RDR. The temptation is just way too much to handle. Gah!

Yeah, but GTA games are such massive experiences that I don't think a few minutes of cut together gameplay is likely to spoil any experience.

Heck, it'd likely make the wait even more unbearable.

They seem to love Michael Mann's movies. Can't blame them:

The idea that Dan Houser doesn't watch/take any inspiration from crime stories in other media is hilarious.

I think he meant CURRENT crime media, as in popular post-2001 stuff. The Wire, The Shield, Breaking Bad, etc. All the GTA inspiration/homage has been very much rooted in 80s/90s mafia, gangster/gangsta, and crime fiction. Red Dead looks to even older material. Max Payne 3 is probably their most contemporary style of presentation if only for the Tony Scott/Elite Squad/City of God/recent Michael Mann stuff in there.
