It's Tokimeki Memorial. There's even an anime of it these days, though predictably it's extremely silly and only really worth watching for the nice character designs.

Hoobastank is in the Japanese version. Have a look at their artist of the week page on the official site. Like I said in the other thread about the Japanese version, maybe Miz is actually responsible for the some the "crap" music in the game, and not Disney?

Well, since GAF was atypically unhelpful I had to turn to wikipedia:

A PS2 port is projected to be released as Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri (&#12402;&#12368;&#12425;&#12375;&#12398;&#12394;&#12367;&#38915;&#12395;&#31085;, When Cicadas Cry) by Alchemist in 2007. [...] The PS2 port differs from the original game series in that it will include full voice acting, redrawn CGs, and integration of the Question arcs into a single branching storyline.

It has been announced the PS2 port will include the first seven PC arcs (Matsuribayashi-hen is excluded) and three original "Final" arcs - Taraimawashi-hen, Tsukiotoshi-hen and Miotsukushi-hen. After the original seven arcs are cleared, the first two "Final" arcs will be available. Furthermore, when these two "Final" arcs are cleared, the epilogue, Miotsukushi-hen, will be unlocked.

I believe that this is the new Tokimeki Memorial franchise spinoff, Girls Side, game for the DS.

It is about this 'basic' girl trying to win over the hearts of various hansome dudes.

And there is going to be another game in the series called "2nd Kiss."

It is for the young girls who played Nintendogs but discovered boys.

As I said up there, Hoobastank ARE in the Japanese version of the game. So far the tracklisting for the Japanese version that has been announced is NO DIFFERENT to the US one. There may be one or two substitutions that they haven't announced yet, but it's looking remarkably similar so far.

For people who like anime and haven't already seen it, I highly recommend checking out the Higurashi anime, it's some really good psychological thriller type stuff. And also good if you like blood and violence too.
