Natsume let Harvest Moon slip at the Xmas party last year (there's a PS2 version too). Koei, Namco & Konami's games were already known also (though just the genres, not titles). I'm most interested in Arika's Technic Cute, which I'm betting is a new installment in their Technic Beat/Technitix series. :)

edit-Also more JP developers....

Activision
Agenda
Arika
Atari Japan
Athena
Chun Soft
D3 Publisher
Eidos
Entertainment Software Publishing
Fog
Global A Entertainment
Hamster
Imagineer
Interchannel
Jaleco
Kaga Tech
Kemco
Mainichi Communications
Media Works
Sun Denshi
Sunrise Interactive
Titus Japan
UBI Soft
X-nauts
Yamasa Entertainment

...I'd take a new Shiren from ChunSoft (or better yet a HomeLand port). And isn't X-nauts that company made of former Psyiko staff?

Talkman's looking pretty hott too -- an automatic Japanese to English speech translator.

You're in an American hotel and would like a double room?

Say "'double' ga ii desu" into the mic and

comes back out.

It's got a pronunciation tutor built in, as well.

It'd be beautiful if they gave the US the same product in reverse, but that'll never happen, will it.

Insane For Sony

Apparently, the translator works with nine languages, so they could be providing that software worldwide. It's a pretty cool concept, btw.

A Japan only RPG series made by Sony that has long load times. Artwork for the series is pretty kickass though.

Well the long load times are just for the PS2 games in the series; and yes the game probably has the longest loading (~30-50 secs going into every battle) in any game...ever.

So hopefully it'll be more like the PS1 games :)

Long load time is putting it nicely:)

I hope they'll go the Popolocrois 1-2 route and do 2D instead. Or get another team to program it in 3D, but keep the art team.

And even i am moderately surprised
um, NEC are releasing a two way voice convertor in a couple of months.

you speak in english, it voice synths out the japanese phrase,
Japanese person responds, the unit voice synths out the english.

Saw it demonstrated on a few shows - looks pretty awesome.
