Did they release specs for DS? I remember reading Miyamoto say once that, in the same way they did with DS, they wouldn't be putting it out for comparison or focusing on the raw power of the Revolution. I think that means that, outside the functionality and the Wifi and so on, they're not gonna be specific about the specs and just gonna show game footage and let us draw our conclusions from them and not the numbers.

I think they released the DS specs pretty late, but the specs were leaked.

Well, I'd say Revolution looking similar to Mac Mini and a Retro game making good use of the new controller are pretty good.

Nightrain's 'predictions' were just repeating what nintendo was saying. nintendo said the new system will look slick and nightrain kept posting pics of the mac mini as if he 'knows' something. Nintendo said the controller will be different and nightrain took the most obvious possibility, gyros, and kept posting that damn gif of the 3d mouse which turned out to not have much to do with the rev controller (it can act as a 3d mouse, but it also detects rotation + depth + somebody said the controller itself is sensitive enough to be used as a button). Like all good BSers he never gave details, just vague 'predictions' based on what anybody who keeps up with nintendo news on gaf should know.

yeah if I could be bothered searching his posts I would find the one on gaf where he says something like "ok man, I was totally hoping nintendo would wow everyone and I wanted to give everyone hope and then have it pay off" or some shit. basically he said "i'm a lameass lol" after someone called him on it.

I like the fact that the dev kits are essentially the same.. and with assuming the Rev be at minimum 2-3x more powerful, GC games should some nice upgrades (AA/Aniso).

..which makes it very easy for people who have started projects on the Game Cube development kids to just switch over the interface..

Style and form of Wavebird. I'm willing to wager it's got a diamond button layout (just like Teddman said) and improved Z button and C-stick. And, of course, the plastic used and the look of it in general will be dead, dead sexy.

Nevermind all the things he said about Metroid Prime 3, which turned out to be right. How he said it wasn't so much about the graphics, but the immersion into the game through the new controller.
