umm, ye? lol. I was talking about the ground and background textures. Not to mention that the brush/grass looks almost 2d.

Maybe its CG using in game assets (didnt Edge mention something about that?)?

Yes, would that be the same pic with totally visible aliasing??? CG with prominant aliasing kids. Fantasmolastic... Like I said, if it is cg, they need to fire the guy that was in charge of cleaning it up.

It can be a movie made using in-game graphics but it doesn't make those graphic CG ones. The only thing that is hard to believe is the extremely nice animation and physics (exactly something that can be tricked out by the whole thing being a movie).

However, after TGS, I'm starting to think that all this might be more possible than I first thought...

Err.. the same background/floor textures that are out of focus because of dof? Those textures?

Not that I care about the realtime v cg debate since I don't give a damn about the game in the first place. I just found that interesting.
 
It's not the textures or the polycount that makes Motorstorm look unreal, that's all in the realm of plausibility. It's the insane action and physics displayed in the trailer that makes me go WTF. We'll see, though. After MGS4 it doesn't seem so impossible. :P

I think he means the textures/grass/brush around where the biker is standing, those are in focus.
 
I love these threads. The incredible cg pics are shown, a few say how they look "bad, look at flaw x"... then in a few months the real pics come out :lol

Are you kidding? The actual MGS4 direct feed shots do not have anywhere near this level of sharpness or geometry.

I seriously can't believe any of you buy this as real-time. You might as well have bought in to the original Madden 360 trailer being real-time...haha. It doesn't matter. You'll see soon enough.
