Good to see that older helmet designs are going to be present, and they look great. The newer ones are way too abstract looking.

The Metroid Prime vibes continue to grow, this pic looks just like the frigate crash site. I love the environment design of this game so far.

Got a chance to play this, the game is beautiful, but I am still pretty upset with the changes, sorry. Really dislike getting on a little streak and calling in a special weapon drop. It's just not Halo to me. Promethean vision also bugged me.

That said, it was amazing rush to play against another team and my friends and I were intimidated by the opponents who talked some friendly smacktalk... they apparently play Halo everyday. and our team was full of noobs...yet we won and our whole team erupted in celebration

Gorgeous game. Beautiful colors/environments.

There are going to be playlists that don't have the calling in weapon drops.

Been playing a shit ton of Reach recently so I'm excited for a new take on the Halo MP. This map does seem to have a weird filter applied to it though, like bloom or something.

I'm getting an Assault on the Control Room vibe from this map, wondering if there will be Banchees and multiple elevations.

Also that sound!

Its likely because you will still have the "flag on back" ability in custom options and its a nice way to remind people.
Good point. In normal CTF, though, it just seems silly, redundant, and like its cluttering up the HUD. But it's a small thing, ultimately, and pales in comparison to everything else, which is melting my face with awesomeness.

That includes loadouts, abilities, etc., right? There's an absolute barebones playlist?

We don't really know yet. They have said there will be a classic playlist. Infinity Slayer has the personal ordnance drops but regular TS does not (but still has global ordnance and all abilities, perks, etc.)

Yeah, really. The main reason I'm interested in Halo 4 is the new direction they are taking with it. I liked 3 and Reach well enough despite the latter's problems, but the old formula is tiresome and needed to go. The more new things they add to 4 that annoys the old guard, the more exciting the game seems.

Looks like HDR city.

nice thanks for the confirmation. supposedly there will also be playlists without armor abilities or powerups too, ala halo 3 and halo reach anniversary.

also, is jeff steitzer coming back as the announcer? this new announcer *sort of* sounds like him, but in a much higher pitched voice.

Same announcer, but he's definitely way too excited in this game.
He sounds almost sarcastic. Like, "Double Kill, whoop de frickin doo." Or like he's socially awkward, and is trying to get the words out as quickly as possible so he can run and hide. I dunno, either way, don't like it.

On a positive note! I really like seeing helmets with visors more, and the map looks colorful and gorgeous. And the sound effects. <3

Graphically it looks decent but i hope the sp is at least as good as reach

I hated Reach's SP. There should have been more space battles and less ham-fisted attempts to create story-appropriate reasons for Spartans to have sprint, armor lock or jet pack. The worst was the fact that a lot of the SP maps were simply multiplayer maps ported over, so you were often running around in large, empty arenas. Bungie's storytelling wasn't bad, but Reach's SP campaign essentially was a good primer for MP, and nothing else.
