New Muse track (does anyone give a shit about this band anymore?)

Muse used to be one of my favorite bands back in like 2005, although in retrospect they peaked with Absolution. Their last couple of albums have been baaaaad. That said, this track dropped earlier today and it's better? It's growing on me with repeat listens, anyway.

Also, I just realized that I discovered this band 18 years ago. 18. Come feel old with me.

Every new song that they come out with is always the same. At first I think "meh, its ok" but then it turns into a damn ear worm for a few weeks. After that passes, I cant listen to the song ever again.

Yeah I did get that imagine dragons feel a bit too, didn't care for those parts. I've followed these guys for a long time and enjoy most of their catalog. This one just seemed off. If course that's what I thought about pressure initially, but now I love it. So who knows.

I'm all for bands experimenting and all their stuff has their signature features (not really sure what to call them).

But everything since Black Holes & Revelations (one of the best albums of all time) just hasn't struck a chord with me. It seems like they're just adding their sound to other artists/genres.

The same with Coldplay. Everything after Viva la Vida just hasn't been great and not uncoincidentally has also been experimental for them.

Origin was peak. Black Holes was still a great album.

Everything afterwards ranged from meh to awful.

Very happy I got to see them play Origin in full once, I'd only see them now if I knew that setlist was gonna be at least half full of tracks from the old albums.
