That model is in the end of this video... with a few other joanna models that loook 100x better than that first screen.

Models looked good, even Wallguy. The tunnel environment looked REALLY good. Considering there's still a decent amount of time till launch, there's an ever better chance than before that this game can be the X360's killer app.

And those models were most likely the high quality cut-scene models if anything since none of them were shown running inside a playable game engine with real-time envirmoments and AI running. We will see the real deal at E3 I guess.

The MTV Special represented MS getting in the first word on the next generation. Keep in mind that they've still got the last word relative to Sony.

Orchestrating all those hardware leaks and coming up with things like Our Colony and (especially) ilovebees indicates that Microsoft has a fairly sophisticated view of how buzz is generated.

I expect Sony to put on a hell of a show to combat all these shenanigans, though.

I'm not sure if I'd trust the stuff at the end of that video - it looks like they were viewing those models using 3D software, not in-engine. There can be a big difference in quality between production and engine..

They said the pictures didn't come from them and aren't official. There was mention of legal action being pushed if we didn't comply. I probably shouldn't say anything more than that on it. It's just best to remove them and it would help if the forum would comply with this request.

Personally, I have been looking forward to Xbox 360, but some of it is just downright disappointing. Like for instance, the Tony Hawk game - IMO - is not next gen. It's on the Xbox 360 and it looks like an average PC title. Just because some of us aren't happy with some of what we are seeing doesn't mean we are necessarily trolling.

The graphics in the games shown in the MTV special were carefully chosen with the goal of impressing only casual gamers and the general MTV audience. I wouldn't recommend trying to gauge how well Microsoft suceeded in this by hanging out on these forums.

This industry has always looked to E3 to decide what to hype. Do you really think Microsoft thought they could change that with a half hour MTV infomercial/rock concert?

Here's shocking news for a lot of people around these parts: the folks at Microsoft may be a lot of things, but they're not stupid.

I'm as much a PD fan as anyone here I had some of the fastest completion times in the original game in N64 Magazine I just don't wanna get my hopes up with what looks like cutscene renders. I've seen the footage. GOW is awesome. That tunnel sequence looks above average and not next gen.

I know this is like the 100th time I'm saying this, but damnit, so much crow will be eaten when E3 rolls around (and when 360 actually launches)...

DOA4, PD0, Gears of War, the Japan games, the sports games, some of the 3rd party games, and the racers are going to impress a whole lot of people (and let's not forget the other surprises MS likely has in store). 360 launch will be *very* hard to resist for a lot of gamers, imo.

Well I wouldn't confirm anything from such small vidcaps but maybe you have much superior vision than I do. My point was only that we saw some crap looking media and we saw some much better looking media but we still don't know whats what. This wouldn't be the first time high quality renders were used to fool the buying public especially wouldn't be the first time for a high profile Xbox game. I just don't want them short-changing the Perfect Dark franchise giving it little to no chance to win over the hardcore Halo fanatics. I think it is a better franchise and deserves all the resources and funding MS can commit.

I agree. This is supposed to be the key title. The backbone of the 360 launch. How the fuck could MS and RARE let something out that looks so shitty when this is THE title for 360 launch.
