New(?) PGR3 screens (scans)

Looking much better.
Maybe because of the gritty, washed out look of the scans and maybe because it's just looking better.

That green car is just awesome.

Fuck. I don't even like racing games and this is already a must buy.

I'll probably just watch people race on GothamTV or something. HD never looked so good.

Less than five more posts before some tard claims this looks bad.

PS., the green car is a Lamborghini Muira - allegedly one of the best looking cars ever made.

Heh you can see when u look close they are definitely Scrans..

wonder how they get away with that? Maybe it is from some kind of promotional pamphlet

The gritty scans make the game look more realistic than it actually does in the magazine.
EDGE's pics are much sharper.

Here's a quote from the mag:

And how had Xbox 360 fared as a development platform?
"It's not as easy to get to grips with as the Xbox but it has an enormous amount of 'hidden' depths and power - only a fraction of which we've already been able to tap. This is the ideal scenario - the first wave of titles will look good because of the straight-out-of-the-box power, but there's plenty more to discover to make subsequent waves of games even better"

Looks awesome! The only thing holding this back from being the best thing ever is the stupid decisions that BC are making (only having cars that go 170 or higher, being able to play through single player in just one car, everything unlocked from the start etc)

But I'll be there on launch day evening, playing this online with my PGR2 buddies :D It's gonna pwn. Hard.

I get what you're saying, but to be fair, it's not a GT4 killer, and MS has plainly proved it has the nuts for that battle with Forza.

Forza 360 can let you tootle around in a 1.6 liter Mazda Familia versus an F40.

It's not competing against Forza/GT4, IMO (I love those two games as well, but PGR is unique. It's nothing like them and I wouldn't want it to be)

What I love about PGR2 is the tough, technical courses and racing the slower cars around the really hard courses (AC Cobras, Renault Spiders, Lotus Exiges etc racing around something like Edinburgh). I love courses like that but they're just boring in the supercars, because they're too fast

So unless they have ignored the fact that you can't race a supercar through a narrow, technical circuit, it's safe to assume that all of the courses are going to be much wider, more open circuits. There's nothing wrong with that kind of course but I'd like a mix

Has there been any confirmation that it's only super cars? There was that trailer that says "Life begins at 170" but what else confirms that?

That's the legendary Lamborghini Miura. The prettiest Lambo in all of existance.

Hey, that's what I said. But for me, it's a toss up between the Muira and the Maserati Bora.

I've seen two interviews where they've confirmed it (one in Edge and one on Xbox.com)

Simply amazing! The most promising next gen title announced for any system so far imo. The only thing that worries me is that the developer haven't confirmed 60fps yet, but with graphics like this I could almost see myself enjoying it in 30fps too, there seems to be some motion blur going on that should smooth out the choppiness a bit.

I like the level of ambition displayed in the overall amount of geometry used for trackside objects. Bodes well for this gen.

incredible.

actually, i dont think everything will be unlocked from the start... you'll just have access to whichever car you want from the start. i imagine the other cars would have to be unlocked... at least that my understanding of it.

the idea is, that you dont have to tool around in some lame POS for several hours to race with the cars you really want to drive. i wont judge their decision till i've played for myself, but it should at least help with the casual crowd.

Too gritty for mois. I'll never judge a game by a scan, especially BAD scans like these. :P Get a grip ppl, it won't look much better than the HD feed vids we've been seeing, and they look good enough as it is. ;D~~

Fucking sweet. Love the lines.

The new Lambos are just a bit to over the top.

Is there going to be a wheel at launch? I'd pay top dollar for a force feedback wheel to use with all these racing games.

There will be a wheel at launch (MadCatz has announced one atleast). A FF wheel? Who knows.

This is what BC said in a recent interview:

XE: Microsoft has recently announced that the Xbox 360 will take advantage of force feedback steering wheel controllers – any plans for such support for PGR3?

BC: Yes, weÂ’d love to support anything thatÂ’s suitable for the game, but we canÂ’t be sure whether force feedback wheels are something thatÂ’s going to be ready in time for when we come out. WeÂ’ll have to let you know nearer launch, I suppose.

its been mentioned in at least one magazine article, and rumored everywhere, but no official confirmation. seems likely to me, or at least support from other usb wheels (DFP please!)

In related news, a recent post at the BC forum implies that cars will indeed reflect each other.

(this was noticably absent in the trailer)

i think your jumping the gun saying that "implies" anything

EDIT: nevermind, read the small print. "Don't worry, we haven't forgot, it just might not have been apparent on the video. We're still tweaking the values."
