Mario + Rayman next Ubisoft!
It's a Tuesday release and also a Bank Holiday this coming Monday over here in the UK. Online retailers shipped them early to make sure they arrived on time.
It wasn't just this, Yakuza and Everybody's Golf also got shipped early by many retailers.
Its annoying seeing amazon shipping early to some but not others. Are you early amazon people prime members? I wonder if theyre shipping earlier to non-prime to try and get them there for release day and stupidly that ends up screwing prime customers (mine yet to dispatch)
Sounds like the game is actually challenging! That's great because my worry was it being faceroll easy.
I wouldn't say it was overly challenging, people expecting this to be similar to Xcom in terms of difficulty need to lower their expectations, but I am only on world 2 of 4, I'm not expecting worlds 3 and 4 to be a walk in the park.
is there any kind of touch controlls in this game??? looks like could be playable like in a smartphone version.
That doesn't say much though because X-COM is masochistically hard
we are around 27 hours until review. Is it wiser to just wait for reviews at this point before pre-ordering? (That will result in a 2-3 days of shipment delay for me)
Just can't get behind buying physical copies for something portable like the switch. I hate it.
Im just curious if anyone knows how complicated the game gets? A little worried it's made for 3+ genre and is just incredibly easy until the last mission or so which requires some sort of thought process or kill X before Y for this reason etc.
LmaoMaybe not enough content?
World 2 boss can go fuck himself.

Anyone got any hints for the world 1-3 challenge, the giant leap one? I've no idea how to pass it.
I leveled up Luigi's movements to the max, used his power up to gain an extra movement square and then simply walked to it.
It ramps up the difficulty slowly but it's certainly not a breeze by any means. I actually suspect that by the end of world 1 it'll be a little too difficult for young kids and they'll be resorting to the easy mode quite a bit.
It certainly has that classic XCom/Valkyria Chronicles thing where you get complacent, don't pay proper attention and then get hit three times in a row by different enemies. It's definitely way more forgiving than XCom but it was never going to be as hard as that game, that's one of the most unforgiving games I've ever played.
As an aside I don't know how people finished World 1 in two hours. I reckon it must have taken me at least double that.
For those who have played it how difficult do you think this will be for younger kids. I play games alot with my girlfriend's brother and the youngest loves Mario and Rabbids. He's pretty good with platformers but hasn't really dipped his toe into rpgs other than watching others play the Mario rpgs.
So how difficult do you think the game would be for a five year old?

I'd be interested to hear how much easier easy mode makes the game but I suspect that, at its core, there's just too many levels of mechanics for a kid at that age to deal with regardless of how many HP the enemy knock off on easy mode.
The best looking Mario game?

I'm so happy that we finally have a great Mario RPG to play again.
It's been far too long now.
I really would love for them to expand this concept for the sequel into Mario + Rabbids + Legend of Zelda.
But probably at that point it should probably be Mario + Rabbids: Multiverse

Is that a fucking....Bullet Bill wearing underwear on its face??
Both 3D World and Odyssey impress more, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the former.
