She's a 3 month old child of strays. One was a Golden Retriever and the other is unknown. She belonged to my friends (parents of my Godson), but with all of their medical problems and with the baby, the puppy got neglected.

She has a wet doggy cage on the front porch of a dirt front yard. Her water was gross and her food rarely got changed. She would tangle her chain a lot around the porch, get stuck, and have no access to food or shelter. She was also attacked by a stray Boxer a week ago. He wrapped his jaw around her midsection and shook her, hitting her head on the porch several times. She was unconcious for a few hours, but woke up feeling okay. They didn't take her to the vet because they thought she would have to be put down.

Well, my friends went out of town and I offered to babysit the pup. We have a huge backyard and a covered porch for her. She has fresh food and water, a long chain, and plenty of space to be a happy pup. I talked to my friend and told her how much better off she is here and how much her attitude had changed since her arrival here and they said that I might be able to keep her until their child is older and until they have a better home!
Awesome! I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow for a full check up and shots. Poor thing.

Meatball is the sweetest, coolest dog I've known.

Beautiful. But I wouldn't give it back. If they can't properly take care of it now, forget it.

I'm not planning on it. I'll give them full visitation, but I want custody.

That's a nice looking dog. Golden Retrievers are generally good dogs, so it's good that it has one of them for the parents. Hope you get to keep her.

I'm gonna guess that the other uh parent is a Fox Terrier(or mixed with it). She's really similiar to mine. Cute puppy anyway.

At last, a chance to take revenge on the dog lovers who heartlessly post puppy pictures in cat threads...

But... but... can't we just be friends?

^Yep. Really cute looking dog..does it every grow bigger? Or will it look like this forever?

My American Eskimo is 12 years old, so he's as big as he's going to get.
The 1/2 Golden Retreiver is 3 months old and has small paws, so I don't think she'll get much bigger.

Aww, what a gorgeous dog! And I'm totally a cat lover.

One of my cats we sort of got in a similar way. It was about 2 years ago and this white cat started to turn up regulalry on our part of the street. She was the sweetest thing, so friendly to everyone and adored attention, but she had so little fur on her and was really thin. It was a nice street, so basically everyone who had their own cat around there was feeding her too, everyone felt sorry for her.

Eventually she started coming in people's houses too, as long as the other cats didn't chase her away. I guess she liked us best as she started to spend more and more time with us. Incidentally, you may think it's wrong to let other cats into your home, and I can see where you're coming from, but I see my other cat wandering into other people's houses all the time, the cheeky little bitch. My brother gets a bit pissed off at it, but I don't mind as long as she's happy, and she always comes back. Anyway, eventually she was there so much, and we didn't know where she lived, that we just let her stay the night. Soon we had her taken to the vet and got her sorted out, we named her, and she lived with us.

She looked so healthy afterwards that some of the nighbours who hadn't seen her for a while barely recognised her when they did. Eventually we found out that she used to belong to people around the corner, not 200 metres away. They never asked for her back though, and they knew where she was. They wouldn't get her anyway, I wouldn't let them treat her like that again, quite apart from the fact that we paid her vet's bills.

That's about the cutest dog I have seen in at least a month. And I heartily approve of the name as well.

edit:
All I have to do is feed my cat. It takes care of everything else on its own. Only reason I have to feed her is becuase she will otherwise bring in birds and squirl carcasas. I felt bad when she brought in a owl.
This is why I don't like cats as pets. They're too independent, and even if you died tomorrow, it's entirely possible that they'd just leave the house, become feral, and hang out in my backyard all day.

Cuteness is one of the main reasons why anyone keeps a pet, but for me, training -- working towards some sorta goal -- and the bond that results is where the charm truly lies. So take your stupid cats and get out of this thread!

I appreciate it. :)
My friend Barry was talking and he mentioned 'meatball' and the dog responded, so that's what he named it. She's very well-behaved and responsive for a dog her age. She knows only to pee on the grass, the comes when called, and plays a mean game of fetch.

Hey, what camera do you use again?

This dog sounds awesome.
Congrats on the adoption, hopefully it's not temporary (for the dogs sake).

The tip of your cock's head looks very red. Are they always like that?
It really depends on the color of the cock from what I understand, see Im not really the cock expert....some are cut ....most gamecocks are cut so that there isn't any extra flesh to be grabbed in a cock fight , which I also know little about.
