So what’s the vote yall, new EP on Monday or not? I’m going to be an optimist and say yes.

'Creep' (what a shocker!) is the only Radiohead song I can stand. Otherwise I just find them to be amazingly dull.
Funny, because I think that "Creep" is one of their dullest songs and doesn't even come close to the stuff they've done since then.

What's worse is that radio stations play the hell out of Creep and if you ask people what their favorite Radiohead song is, you'll oftentimes get Creep as the answer.

Such a ridiculously overrated song.

Radiohead has come a long way which is why I wish we'd just forget Pablo Honey altogether. It's by far their worst album and yes, songs like Creep are far more dull than pretty much everything else that Radiohead puts out.

Pablo Honey is the only Radiohead album I really don't like at all, really. I think everything that follows is pretty sweet, though.

I, too, will be an optimist and say we'll get a new EP monday.

This is not directed at you, but nowadays I think of 'Creep' as one of radioheads more dull songs... they really have come a long way, and my god that song is just so boring and too simple i can hardly ever listen to it. that is all.

The song is "dull" now, specially when compared to all of the newer ones, but it's still powerfull, the guitar right before the chorus is amazing, even more amazing live, with all the InRainbows tour lights exploding with it. They'd never been to my country so everybody kinda wanted to have a chance to hear their most famous song, and then they play it, Tom sings "whatever makes you happy / whatever you want" to close the concert.......

Ok the this old album/song is good/bad endless discussion is over. Shut the fuck up, you love Radiohead, I love Radiohead and if you don’t you’re in the wrong thread.
So we got two yes votes for Monday, and currently zero pessimists. Any more takers?

I will join the optimistic crowd for "Radiohead EP Monday", no reason in particular it would just be sweet if we got an EP. and I'm a big fan of short albums anyways so, this would be especially nice for me.

I fucking love Amnesiac, and I Might Be Wrong is a big part of that.
It's such a perfect song on so many levels. It's literally like two perfect songs playing over each other in perfect harmony. It's just nuts.

I am the only person on earth who can not stand Radiohead.... really ive tried, I just cant stand them
You r not alone.

This was okay, kind of rambling, tune isn't very memorable. Singing is a mumble.

I find it odd that I continually read that “everyone loves Radiohead” and yet I don’t actually know anyone who likes them.
If I don’t get an EP on Monday I’m going to shit white hot blood in my own hands.

i just ate a pound of raw meat to prepare. 6 hours before the deadline I'll consume 1/8 lbs of cat shit. Dont test me Radiohead!

Half the people who claim to be Radiohead fans seem to have listened to just 'Creep' and a copy of In Rainbows downloaded for free off the net.

I love Radiohead, but Thom Yorke does look more and more like a self indulgent twat.

So long as Radiohead can put out albums like The Bends, Ok Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows Thom can indulge in his twat all he likes, he’s earned it.

no, he's a loveable weirdo whose weird neurotic problems help generate some of the best and most imaginative music around.

personally think radiohead have some massive misses since they went on that HUGE creative binge after OK computer (not that that wasn't creative and different, but the whole thing was SOLID) but when they get it right it's amazing.

I loved in Rainbows as well, probably my second favourite cd of theirs. Don't like Faust Arp, but the rest is great.

What did you guys think about Thom's solo album?

I really wasn't keen on his solo album. I'm not all that keen on hearing his voice outside of Radioheads soundscapes.

Although, if he wanted to do more stuff with DJ Shadow I'd be giddy like a schoolgirl.

Not a huge fan of Creep. Sticking to the RB material, I much prefer My Iron Lung.

I haven't heard much of Radiohead (only Kid A), but it's definitely a band I could get into.

Probably should start with OK Computer, then go on to Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows (make sure to find the second disc for it, with Bangers & Mash on it). Then get to their earlier stuff. It's a pity that Creep still gets so much airplay, not only because it's one of their weaker songs, but people who have yet to be introduced to Radiohead hear it and can't help but think that they're no different from a dozen other bands floating around the airspace. Thing is, though, Creep came out 17 years ago.

Street Spirit is probably one of their best songs, and it's from The Bends.

Gah I want to see Radiohead live :(

Rub in time...Ive seen them twice.

The first time in the PIT, just under Johnny Greenwood. The second time in the 7th or so row. Both times...incredible. No other live concert comes close...except maybe Wilco.

PS - you have no idea how many people respond with "You mean the guys that sing Creep?" whenever I tell anyone my favorite band is Radiohead.

It's not all their fault though, most of mainstream rock radio has completely ignored everything they have put out since that song. A LOT of people consider them a one-hit wonder, having NO idea how much of a fan following they have worldwide.

then again most people are stupid morons.

It's actually pretty disturbing how often Creep gets picked at karaoke bars.

I like that Harry Patch song in the 2nd hearing and the twist my words sounds good so far. Bring it Monday RH!

Radiohead just updated their site.

So here's a new song, called 'These Are My Twisted Words'.

We've been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished.
We're pretty proud of it.

There's other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we've been practicing, and which we'll probably play at this summer's concerts. Hope you like it.

Download the audio here or torrent here.

I'd prefer an album/EP, but if they decide to go with the "all singles" approach, I'm sure there'll be a way to get a compilation somewhere down the line, and usually with single's, the quality of each individual song seems to be much better (no fillers).

Then again, fillers doesn't seem to ever have been a problem with Radiohead's albums.

Amnesiac and Kid A are both pretty 'out there'
kid a is very much a pop record, though amnesiac shows a lot of jazz influence. it's easily their most diverse. it's still an interesting listen today, probably my favourite.
