New Real-Time PS3 Formula One Video!

People were calling this pre rendered? Why? It really doesn't look like its exactly separting itself from what a next gen console can do. Now WarHawk and MGS4,those are stand outs.

Seeing that makes me drool at the thought of what GT5 is going to look like when its done. This is look very realistic even early on

Hey SolidSnakex how do you do that? How do you take that picture of the video and display it in screenshot form here at GAF?

How do we know it's real time? I know it says something like " the folllowing is in game footage" but that was at the end of the clip meaning it was for the next movie to come?

The vid stops just at the point where it says the "following is comprised entirely of in-game footage".

So the vid isn't real time then?

You can use windows media player classic (google it for a few links to d/l). Just pause the video at wherever you want to capture a screen and go to File > Save Image.

That was the following. Get used to seeing stuff this great next-gen.

I hope your right but why was the message at the end of the file. Surely it should have been at the beginning?

*sigh* I had hoped sony would have given up on F1 games by now.

After seeing GTVs attention to detail and PGR3s sence of speed i have to say this comes somewhere in the middle of both and i dont like it.

Doesn't that come with XP though? Mine is called mplayer2. Or are you talking about something different.

Isn't this the same video that was shown at E3? I remember specificly the crash scene, and how fake the physics of the crash looked.

You can use Media Player Classic, like others said in this thread, but it's also very easy to do in Windows Media Player. I use WinMP 10 and all you have to do to capture a screenshot is press CTRL + I (no need to pause the video, by the way). You can save the pic in JPG and BMP formats.

You can then upload the pic to ImageShack, for example. After the pic is done uploading the site gives you codes for posting the pic on forums etc.. There are many more equally good hosting sites on the net. ImageShack is one of the most popular sites these days.

You can also do a print screen on Windows Media Player (9 or 10, as you wish), but in order to not get a black screen from the printed screen, you have to go to tools, options and then go to the performance tab, and under the video acceleration go to advanced and in there uncheck the option "use overlays". Than you press all the OKs and you're set. After the print screen, just paste it in any image programa (MS Paint will do fine) and save as JPEG for example (to save space). Go to image shack (do a search on google, it'll be the first link i think) and then just browse your PC for the image and upload it.

mckmas, all you have to do is select the area you want to show, then go to edit and then cut. After that go to File and then New, say you don't want to save changes and just paste what you had cut before and then save it.

Trying print screen of F1 for a second time.

Ahh much better. Thanks guys, this is why I love the GAF. :)

Hey guys.... like I said, if you are using Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic then all of that PrintScreen stuff is useless.

Just use the capture option inside that program.

The print screen works allright with WMP10 if you turn off the overlays, just gives you that bit more work :)

Anyway, this video is the same that was shown at E3, it really is nothing new.

I just hope this somehow finds its way to the US. God damn Sony gets exclusive rights to F1 on consoles and then stops releasing games in the US. Unbelievable

Rendered for the most part I would of said by the way the F1 cars moved. No reason why they won`t be of that that quality though as thats what you expect from next gen.

The message at the end of the vid relates to Lair, I'm pretty sure. I don't think we've confirmation that this is realtime, but stuff of that quality seems quite possible IMO.

You're right. It's not the same. But it does have some of the bits we get to see with the new trailer and that's why i made the confusion. :D

downloading now. I was very disappointed with the E3 trailer. Especially how the cars behaved was quite bad actually.

Same issues remain. It looks nice, but how the care crahses just looks off (very off to be honest). The physics beast that PS3 is should do better .... :D

The realtime thing definitely refers to the Lair trailer after the Formula 1 one. I saw all this at the Sony booth.
