New Resident Evil 5 info from Famitsu

- Sheva's last name is Alomar.
- BSAA stands for Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance
- She is from the same organization as Chris, and hails from the West African branch while Chris comes from the North American one. Their logos are very, with different coloring.
- Chris and Sheva are seen working together in the battlefield, fighting back to back in one image (imageboard) and even jumping into a hole one right after the other.
- Two new monsters are seen. One is the creature alluded to in previous coverage of the game, a bulky creature wearing a dark outfit a little similar to the RE4 merchant's, wielding a giant axe going after Chris and Sheva.
- The other creature wears a cape and a solid mask with red eye covers. It's in another image, driving an unidentified, mysterious (hint: evil looking, not Wesker) Caucasian man in a car.

Looks stunning, as per usual.

All signs still point to RE4HD, but if it's truely like RE4 then it will have a ton of variety so I'm not worried.

If you look at page 249, you can see theres a clear difference between the in-game model and the cutscene one for Sheva. Its nothing huge, but her face looks a lot less lively. Glad to see them pushing it for the cinematics though. Looks incredible!

I hope that 5 will have the same amazing gameplay variety and setpieces as 4 did but doesn't completely ignore the atmosphere, plot and characters of the previous REs. I don't want to see again Napoleon as the main villain of the game.

The thing I am wondering is if they are going to acknowledge RE4 story or las Plagas in this one.

Hopefully she'll be as awesome as Ada Wong.

I remember it being exposed as fake but I don't think it was ever 100% confirmed or deconfirmed. We shall see come E3, I am sure. (Heh, that rhymed >_>)

Sheva = a non-useless Ashley?

I predict she'll be the next Billy Coen, in the sense that she's an always-around partner and that she'll have a past that explains her presence in the game.

Doubt we're gonna see Claire in RE5. We'll probably get a reference or two, but having her right there in the flesh seems pretty unlikely to me.

BlockBastard, destroyer of dreams.

Sheva looks awesome. This is my last bastion for this gen, and everything is pointing towards it being awesome as hell.

^ And we'll never see her again after this game >_>

Well, Billy and Sheva do have fairly restricted potential I'd say...

I also think Claire has a good chance of showing up in this game. Jill might have a decent chance too, although I doubt it myself. Rebecca's chances are near-zero, which is a shame because she manages to be important in three games, but we only see her a whole two days in the timeline of the series. I like how Chris gets to partner up with every female protagonist in the series. (not sure I'd consider Ada a protagonist) :D

Remember Lost Planet demo at E3? Come on Capcom...

That was released the day I got my 360...heh I was blown away by that. I'd settle for a Bionic Commando demo + Rearmed release though.

Yeah, that'd be good enough.

It better not have to escort shit.
RE4 didn't have you escort shit either. It had you escort someone awesome who was actually very, very intelligent about keeping up and staying out of your way. So yeah, I doubt that RE5 will move backward in this regard (to stuff like escorting Sherry in RE2, which was atrocious).

I didn't find it annoying at all. That part was very, very brief compared to the overall adventure, Sherry kept up fast with Claire and all the zombies approaching her just puked instead of actually grabbing and biting her.

Oh man, co-op Resident Evil would be so awesome!!!
If it is co-op, I'd rather be the chick. It was like that for me in RE1 as well. Chris by himself just doesn't seem to hold my interest much. So far, his female parters have stolen the show.

Very similar right?

I'd argue Ashley was the best part of RE4. Having to look after someone else really jacked up the tension.

In the trailer Sheva had a gun, so i'm im pretty sure she'll bustin caps right along with Chris. CAN'T FN WAIT **GRINCH SMILE**

...its kratos
Kratos won't be able to do anything man He already went up RE4 and lost and will so again against RE5.
